OK I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. I have a figure (Westgate Freebie from freestuff) that I am trying to retexture. I am getting black stripes where there should be none on the transmapped sections of the render. Not the transparent parts, that part seems to be working fine, it's on the texture. Screenshots to follow. HELPMEEEEEEE....before I go insane...... Thanks@ Skye

Try checking the "normals_forward" checkbox in the material setup, that could already fix it.

add a bit of displacement (like .01 or so) to the arch texture---it's made from the poser 2-sided square, & that happens a lot with that prop in Firefly. hey, is that MY gate? i didn't think anybody ever used it! i made it ages ago....

jancory: Yes as a matter of fact it is. :D And thanks. I think I have the displacement set at just that .01....but I'll check.

i thought it looked familiar! by adding displacement, i meant add it to the arch texture in the material room---drag your arch texture down to the displacement node & plug it in, set it around .01. hope that's clearer.....
