Hows it goin'? Out with a couple of days off finally back to a computer not mine but it still works. Is anyone beta testing Bryce 5 and if you are what new features have they come up with? Thanks.

from posts I've seen around on Bryce message boards - yes, people are beta testing B5 (I am not one of them), and each and every one of those testers had to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement - which means they can't say anything about it until it is released (which I know because I was a beta tester for B4). -calyxa

Oops. I didn't know that I thought beta testers were supposed to discuss the new features and talk about current bugs and stuff sort of how they do with some games that are yet to be released like for the playstation2. I didn't know there was a non disclosure policy. Is that for all beta test programs? Thanks for replying.

In all the beta's I've taken part in, yes. Microsoft is very closed lipped about their games. I've done 4 for them now, and was unable to talk about ANYTHING except in private newsgroups they setup on their servers. Couple other betas (non-game) that I've been in, again, all non-disclosure all the way. - Rim

Im a B5 tester, and as much as I would love to tell everyone whats going on with it, I cant, all testers signed a NDA(Non-Disclosure Agreement) with Corel. Its gonna be great is about all I can say until Corel releases the information publicly. Ken

May I ask if there is a tentative timetable for the announcement?

KenS ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2001 at 12:07 PM

I have no clue what their release schedue is

I'm also a b5 beta tester. You're going to love it when it comes out. When, we still don't know.

Is Corel still signing on new beta testers for Bryce 5? Or is the beta tester recritment now closed?

DigitalArtist ( ) posted Fri, 23 March 2001 at 9:18 PM

It's closed now I'm afraid. Best of luck to those of you testing :P -Matt

I'm testing also. one main reason is that some features in Beta 1 may be dropped in later beta versions , so to mention a feature publically my very well not make it into the final release. Hawkfyr
