Right, but do I need Poser? I currently dont have it and was curious if the formats given NEED Poser or if they come ready made (not vob obviously) for Vue. I suppose I could live on Ramen noodles and cabbage water for awhile.... ;-) I appreciate the feedback that they work well and look nice. Thanks! -Ryan

There are also lots of nice trees at Rdna that can be used if you have poser to save as pz3 to import into Vue and then save them as vob once in Vue.
Lots of nice plants, flowers and trees at Daz3d also if you have poser to convert for use in Vue.
For me having poser goes hand in hand with Vue since there are so many nice plants that are in poser format and are very reasonably priced. :)
You posted as I was posting.
Yes you will need poser and it does make a nice addition to use with Vue. All of the Models that are poser format then can be saved as pz3 and imported into Vue. :)

Ok, looks like its Ramen and Cabbage water for a few weeks...lol. Thanks for the response!
I also want to take this time to mention TurboSquid is simply unbelievably overpriced in every format and almost every model. I was looking for a corn stalk (which they didn't have) and a simple ear of corn goes for $98!!! Unreal. I swear it's like triple price day everyday over there. If I can help it, I'll never buy from them because of their pricing.
*thumbs up" to reasonable pricing at the Marketplace, DNA, Daz3d, and Cornucopia3D.
I'd understand $100+ for a truly high poly 3d car or a library of plants...but an ear of corn?

I wouldn't try importing obj without Poser, because it will import with no materials in Vue, and it will be a nightmare texturing in Vue. Ryan, did you check Toucan? And 3dplants.com?I bought Poser because of all of the neat stuff I found that I wanted to use in Vue. I had it for over a year before I even tried my hand at figures and I still don't use them much. RDNA has tons of really neat stuff, reasonably priced. That doesn't keep me from spending a fortune there. Lin
Yeah, try Daz|Studio - The RDNA and DAZ plants often have morphs and that sort of thing available (material settings that change leaf shape etc) - Daz just released a Plug-in that exports to Poser format. Daz|Studio is free and comes with some nice free content(you do have to register/create a Daz Account): http://www.daz3d.com/program/studio/1_0index.php The Plug-in is called "Poser Format Exporter" and can be found here (once you've registered a Daz Account): http://freebackend.daz3d.com/free_weekly/detail.php?free_id=236 Hope that helps Cheers

Anyone know if you need a specific set of software for some of these? Im looking at vegetation and there is just so much available, but the store doesn't say the file format. I think it's poser heavy but do you need poser if it's just vegetation and doesn't need to be posed? Any help is appreciated.
