Subject: tit & dick

SoulTaker ( ) posted Sat, 28 January 2006 at 11:53 AM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 4:37 PM

Is it me or is there more tit holding (or is it tit supporting?) And dick flashing just lately in the gallery? Nude warnings have gone out the window and even in the free stuff theres mega tits and the odd flash of groin. Looks like the earlier worries about a clamp down on flesh are groundless

Nude warnings have gone out the window What do you mean by "warnings"?

Ouch. I'd always worry about "a clamp down on flesh". Sounds very painful. Man, I leave this site for a year or two, and when I come back, people are clamping stuff on flesh. ;)

Nudity If this image/writing contains nudity or violence of any type, you must check the "Nudity" or Violence checkbox,

KarenJ ( ) posted Sat, 28 January 2006 at 12:09 PM

The nudity tag isn't visible. You need to turn Show Nudity to No in your profile if you don't want to see nude images. If you find a nude image is showing in your view, even though you have your profile set to not show nudity, then PM a mod or coord and we'll flip the tag on. You can change your profile back and forth, for example I have it set to not show nudity when surfing from work, then switch nudity back on when I get home. Hope that helps. Karen Poser Mod

Since I have the nudity ban on (the missus, and especially my job don't approve..;), I just don't see them. Does sound like there's a lot more 'hands on' support going on around there..

Would the ban apply to a large cock? :-D Sorry! Couldn't resist.

almeidap ( ) posted Sat, 28 January 2006 at 11:34 PM

as many times as I've been banned or told to take an image down...it's still in place. Mind you, most of my stuff is a lot tamer than some of the stuff you see in the galleries, my guess is the mods haven't caught it...but oddly enough always catch mine if I have a man touching a woman's breast (not sexually). I suppose you could always contact a mod and tell them what render is offensive and let them be the judge... Or get the hate grup that been shooting me tons of IMs about how my renders are offensive and the offender takes my route and just gives up.

If people are IMing you like that, report their asses. Thats harassment IMO.

Gordon, that image is hilarious! Especially the sneakers on that cock.

LOL @ Gordon If you see an image in the gallery which you believe is in violation of TOS, please IM a mod or coord and we'll discuss it in staff room and remove it if required. And Peter, if you're receiving harassing IMs please let us know, that kind of behaviour is not tolerated. Karen

I didn't mean to make light of the TOS violation problem, by the way. Renderosity has legal liabilities to think of. Particularly with the US gov't on such a witch hunt for so-called "decency" infractions. And they are, of course, the ultimate arbiters of decency, aren't they??

Rachel_R ( ) posted Sun, 29 January 2006 at 5:01 PM

kids do come here..it's emabarrassing (not to mention, offensive)how some of you so-called adults have a potty mouth.

Gordon_S ( ) posted Sun, 29 January 2006 at 8:24 PM

I would hope that ANY parent who is letting their kids loose on the web would have Net Nanny, or it's equivalent, active on whatever computer they're using. If they don't, shame on them.
Both my daughter's computers are loaded with Net Nanny, and it's ON at all times. There's a "forbidden word" list on there. You have a word you don't want your kids exposed to? Put it on the list. I did. NetNanny won't display any page that contains any of those words. I also killed ALL access to chat rooms. And IM'ing. My oldest girl, almost twelve, HATES that software. That's okay. When she's old enough to buy her own computer, she doesn't have to load it.

almeidap ( ) posted Mon, 30 January 2006 at 12:42 AM

Gordon_S...right on! I have a 15 year old when we used to share the same computer, his access was extremely limited. Most of my renders here, he wasn't able to view...even after he changed usernames (various times) and clicked over 18. Now he has his own computer and I'm just as aggessive with that one, if not more. Along with NetNanny I check what programs he has installed, check his temporary internet files for the things that still manage to dodge NetNanny (he's a boy...you know what I find). When something is found, the power cord goes to work and stays there for awhile, my computer is locked, as is his mothers.

Potty mouths happen with or without the internet...what is important is the WE guide, mentor, and love our children enough to find out what they're doing, being able to spot what isn't appropriate and then explaining and making them underestand why it isn't appropriate.

All the talking I do hasn't stopped him from trying to look at other stuff, but he has been either A. Smart enough not to do it under my roof or B. learn how to cover his tracks better....hopefull C. wait until he can buy his own stuff.

One more thing before I get off my soapbox. I teach my children there is nothing wrong with any word, it's how they use the word, my older one used to shout "ice cream" when he messed something up, or was angry....we all knew what he meant...that is a curse word...and he get's punished for saying it...in that way.

Luckily he isn't brave enough to say anything else such as "I have to go ...it." I know the day is coming.

Ok, Almeida off.

This is a bit OT I know, but some of the 'answers' in this thread are ridiculous. S'funny... my two teenage daughters, 14 and 17, have no restrictions to their web access. They never have. They each have their own computers, ADSL and lots of time to use their access. And they are sweet, gentle teenagers, not at all messed up by all the stuff on the web (I know this because I know them both very well indeed, I'm NOT an absentee Dad). They have a balanced view of life and all that it entails, they use swearwords when they deem it necessary, they know precisely what naked people look like, they read what they lke and they are allowed to have boyfriends, no problem. So far they have both shown a fine ability to judge others and pick the right sort of girls as friends and the right boys as boyfriends. They read books and newspapers, they care about other people, they fall in love, they get sad sometimes. Just like it should be. And they haven't started to rot, or turned into whores, or even gotten disillusioned with life. On the contrary! So, what's with Net Nannies and censorship and all that crap? Do you people who restrict your kids and make a bunch of assumptions about them and what's good for them have any idea at all what you're actually doing? When you feed them your version of morality or religious dogma, do you feel utterly convinced that you are right? You know for sure how everything should be? No, I don't think so - I think it's all just nonsense, based on the incredibly right-wing, fanatical conservatism rampant in the US and oozing out over the rest of us whether we like it or not. Wake up and smell the daises, man. Naughty words and naked tits don't corrupt and destroy kids. Not in the least. So what does corrupt and destroy? War, violence, racism, rabid nationalist arrogance, religious fanatacism, sexism. Those things corrupt and/or kill. :] Fish

Cripes you sound like my Father (now deceased), LOL When I was 12 my Dad who was in his late 60's by that time along with my Uncle (his brother), and my brother were cutting down trees and growing a field of "sweet Mary Jane", LOL The only reason my Dad was doing it is because he loved plants and enjoyed caring for them and watching them grow and thrive. I knew what was going on and was even helping to pull weeds from the area, but my mother didn't have a clue. A late frost hit though and killed them...they were many feet high by then. My Dad was devestated, LOL My Mom found one of my brothers plants in the basement and thought it was very pretty so she put the plant pot in the front window and watered it and transplanted it as needed. She even gave it plant vitamins. On sunny days she put it on the front steps to get some extra sunshine. One day after months of painstaking care on her part and it never blooming flowers, she ripped it out of the pot and said "God damn weed!!!!" and tossed it in the trash can. I was in the living room thinking to myself and laughing "Yep! Weed! Mom if you only knew!" The next week I was out back mowing the lawn and I saw some plants growing in between the stones of the sidewalk... next to the cop's house next door. LOL I quickly dug them up and poured javex on the spots. I was also taught how to shoot a rifle at a very young age... like 5 or 6. And my Dad made me my first Bow and Arrow set when I was 7. As you can see I had a very liberal up bringing and I turned out pretty ok. I consider myself to be a nice person with good morals and know right from wrong. I don't however think kids should be allowed unsupervised access to the internet, mainly because of the predators online that use the net to find their targets in chat rooms etc. Not all kids are wise, and many fall victim to that cute 10 year old boy who turns out to be a 40 year old pervert.

I'm cautious and with my job a lot of times I can't be home as much as I like, but do I monitor what my sons do (I have two), yup, you betcha. What parenting technique is better...to each his own. The last few years I've been learning what worked for my 15 year old has nothing to do with the 8. Do I force my values on my children...hell no. But will I guide them to what I think is right...yup, guilty as charged but at the same time I give them the space to be their own person...love the way my 15 year old is turning out...sure he likes boobies what 15 year old doesn't...heck what man doesn't but will I let his PC grow into a haven a porn...no. Will he swear at me? No. Hopefully, because I'm a Marine (going on 17 years in service) means I'm different and I "need things my way or the hiway". I treat him with respect, just as I do my subordinates because I was 15 once and if I had the internet...I shudder to think what my parents would have found. LOL

Gordon_S ( ) posted Mon, 30 January 2006 at 6:40 AM

Net Nanny, as I use it, has nothing to do with censorship, and everything to do with protection. My 11 year old loves cats. Search Google on "pussy". What do you think you get??? Pages and pages of explicit, triple "X", stuff. Does an 11 year old need to see that? Certainly not! THAT is what NN prevents. Accidental exposure to grossly age inappropriate material. Our eight year old (with the oldest, most likely to croak PC in the house) likes to surf the Barbie web site, the Bratz web site, and a few other young-kids oriented sites. She doesn't need to accidentally wind up on the "Barb Does Brazil" web site. And chat rooms? We all know what kind of predators like to cruise those. Kids haven't been on this planet for long enough to develop the street smarts to avoid these sickos. There's no real NEED for them to be in chat rooms anyway. There are plenty of other brainless pastimes available to them. On the other hand, we gave our oldest her own copy of Poser for her eleventh birthday (my old P5 license. I bought a whole new license for P6 when it came out for that reason). She uses it to illustrate strories that she writes. I don't censor her Runtime. And she doesn't spend time rendering any of the characters in the nude. She isn't interested. As a parent you have to pick your battles. :-)

ratscloset ( ) posted Mon, 30 January 2006 at 7:18 AM

Most kids that parents take Power Cords have a spare. They are under $5 at most Computer Parts stores and many kids have spares that they sell in school. Nothing can replace parental interaction. I too avoid the Net Nanny road and have no preset restrictions. Instead I just take the time to monitor their use at various times. Caught some problems, but they have been few.
