From time to time I start to rove around Renderosity and on some occasions I come across artists using other art formats that really attract my attention. You dont know wholl be posting in any given thread in any given forum but often you can pick up on the talent of the poster from what theyre saying. So is the case with this particular poster. I decided to look into his/her gallery and was pleasantly surprised. Having clicked on their name/gallery you can see the pattern of development across their work. Thus is the case with the artist and gallery of SeanE a digital comic artist.

I thought that as connoisseurs of art you too might be interested. This artist has 14 pages of artwork starting from October 2001 to the present and if you click on page 13 then bring up page 1 you can see an almost linear history of progressive development.

On getting to page one, I was left quite impressed with this artists ability and thought that there is something to be learned here by all of us. From a digital comic art point of view I think this artist is quite good. Please take the time to review this artists work and tell us what you feel.

But youre missing the point. Its okay to view all the works from time to time but those are times when we only view the work and not the artist. This artist has caught my attention simply because at looking at his/her work, you can see a definite progression towards better technique. And I feel its quality work.

Must admit I like Sean's work, and yes it's progressed over the years (wish mine had that much!), I've toying with adding Sean to my favourites for a little while...

SeanE is a comic color artist, and he's a very, very good one. I remember when he was just starting to really develop his color techniques -- I haven't kept track, but I think he's gone pro now. However, the difference you see between his page 13 and his page 1 is huge because in his older work he did the sketches himself. In a lot of the more recent work, he colors other people's sketches. Color artists tend to specialize in coloring other people's pencil and line art work, and now that he's gotten really good, he gets to work on some really good line art. But yes, aside from the sketches, there is definite improvement in his color work. I've been an admirer of his color style for a while now.

I spend hour prowling through artists pages. I usually start with an artist that has just posted something I like, then its off to look at their favorites list. Using their comments as a guide I head off to god knows where. I am amazed what people have done. I recommend everybody tries it.
