I have always been interested in shadows and light so suppose I notice them. This was not an original idea I have seen it done before but I thought those who perhaps havn't would like to see this - it works with the ring laying down too ! I have just taken this one as I did the one for my gallery with the ring standing upright.

All that is needed for the shot is: a book, a ring and a desklamp.

I thought it was why vicars layed the ring on a bible so it would form a nice heart shaped shadow for the wedding photographer ;)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Hey Richard...I got kind of a deja vu feeling when I viewed your image! Thought I saw something similiar before! (Checkout the link) Y'know, recreating stuff we see or inspire us helps us learn how to approach and see things differently, which is cool in my book!

Beautiful image Richard! I have seen this one before on UF as well, but hey I still think it is original! Brenda :)

That's sooo beautiful Richard ... I haven't seen it done before and would never have guessed you'd get a heart shadow! Just gorgeous!!!

Like you I like the use of shadows and see all sorts of things in them (or in the mind) like this may net be original, but I have not seen something like this before, I will maybe try something like this, hope you dont mind.
