I think this original post got lost! I am still learning the ins and outs of this forum and I feel a bit lost! The original post I was looking for was asking about how to create Fog/Mists in Poser>then the secound part was on weither if I create something in PSP, and save it as either a .jpeg or .png, can I import it into Poser???? But I can't find that question anywhere on the boards! I am searching but it is difficult. *sigh Sorry for the repeat of the questions. ThanX again CrimsonMoon

Here is a thread, not sure if it's the one you refer to.

If you can remember the title of the thread or the name of someone who posted in it, I can search for it for you.

Not a pest. These forums aren't exactly user friendly, hehe

if I create something in PSP, and save it as either a .jpeg or .png, can I import it into Poser? It depends what you mean by "import", since an image file has lots of potential uses in Poser. If you want to use it as a background, you can do that directly (File > Import > Background Picture); but in my opinion, you're better off combining your render with the background later. Render your figure on the default background, and save as PSD which you can open up in PaintShop. There, go to Masks > Load from alpha channel and you'll have a transparent background; you can put layers behind your render. Other artists prefer to apply their image to a square prop, and position that behind the scene. This has the advantage that you can adjust it to your satisfaction, and compensate for perspective effects to some extent. If you meant some other usage, then let us know...

ThanX English Bob! (*You too Acadia!!!) I do mostly post production in PSP, but I saw the neat stuff with mist done in Poser so that it had a depth that I liked. I am still learning what works best used in P6 and what is best done Post production! All I know is that this is very satifying!!! And on the next questions...if I make a prop 2 d in PSP/Paint etc, like fog! Can I open and use it in P6? and what format is best to save it in to use in P6?.Png? for a transparent pic? And .jpeg for a solid prop? And here's the Stupid Question! What is a Square Prop? *blonde moment hehehehehe! ThanX! CrimsonMoon

You're most welcome... I see that you found the props library, applied a texture, applied a transparency map, and added a background to your picture. That's an hour well spent. ;) I was concerned that we might be talking over each other's shoulder, to coin a phrase, but I needn't have worried. Is there anything in this thread that still needs clarification?
