Hi, I have a scene with lots of objects, they render nicely, but if i try to add a texture to the ground, or if i use one of the squares in the primitives,or if i just use a simple flat object (I want grass as my ground), it just renders black!! am I doing something wrong? did I finally break Poser? lol Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, yes, I've attached a render and you can see there that the ground is black. First I thought it was a lighting thing, but everything else renders ok. If I go into the Materials room, and select the ground, i can see the grass texture on the Poser surface window.

nice scene, leeloo it could be a lighting problem. your main light source is somewhere left and underneath ground level (and is pointing right under the faeries skirt, naughty light, bad, bad!) so id say to put that light a good bit highter should brighten the whole scene. lets see if this works....

oh well, i think you've discovered my secret... i'm a blonde lol. i had the light ok, but it was turned off, silly girl!! thanks amacord, i'm glad you like it. hahaha, i didn't noticed the light was pointing under the skirt. i just want to hit my head on the monitor! lol, why shouldn't i checked that before posting? I know why, i've been working on that scene the whole night, it's almost 10 pm now and i still haven't had some sleep. thanks again!!!! i'll come back here soon with another stupid question, lol. this reminds me when i was working as tech support and a customer called saying his comp wasn't working, i told him to check if it was plugged in... and it wasn't lol.
