Thanks, litst. I've found it very helpful so far.

Thanks for this much needed tutorial (now if some one would just do a tutorial on the body). It looks great!!

litst ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2001 at 4:15 PM

Stacey: for the body, twillis posted a short tutorial that makes a very good start, some time ago . Personnally, i use the same techniques for faces and bodies when i add details, except that i work with parts (head, body, arm and leg) and join them after . litst

Actually, looking at the work Stacey's done on Flog, I think he's advanced past my "voodoo dolls".

Great, litst, thanks. Now we need to get you a page here at Renderosity to post tutorials and such.

litst ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2001 at 10:52 PM

Hey wyrwulf, there a tutorial link up there ! I've added mine in the Carrara section, of course ;) litst

wyrwulf ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2001 at 10:57 PM

Well, yeah, but I mean a Renderosity site like Spike has for the Rhino tutorials. It could also host any tutorials by other members that wanted to contribute.

litst ( ) posted Fri, 23 March 2001 at 8:51 AM

That's a good idea, wyrwulf ! If anybody wants to share a tutorial with us, then i think i can try to get a page here ! litst

You can put my quick and dirty figure-from-a-cylinder project if you think it would be appropriate. It's not very advanced, but it might be a good way for beginners to get their feet wet. --Terri

To be hosted by Renderosity, you got to be an affiliated artist, it seems . I don't know how to become one, and besides, i don't think i'll have the time (for now, at least ...) to make the website and all that stuff . It sure can be a good way to share things, so i'll try to get some more info down there ... litst

Sorry for the late answer ... About affiliated artist : to become one, you got to be an artist that has a product line on the store OR you can have some valuable tutorials to share with the community . For now, we only got a few tutorials available for Carrara and that wouldn't make a big database ! ;) But in the future, as people here will produce more tutorials ( me included, i hope ), it can be great to have a webpage to store our files ! litst
