Subject: OBJ lost......

Inspired_Art ( ) posted Tue, 07 February 2006 at 7:27 PM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 6:59 PM

I've got six (6) obj files that belong to a morph. I have no idea where they go....I am assming they go in a folder within the Geometries folder, (propack), but when I place them there, I have no way to access them within poser(?)

Here are the instructions, if anybody can help, please do...

These are female genitalia morphs for Zygote (www.zygote.com) Victoria Millenium Woman. They are meant to be used together, especially the perineum, the genitalia and the mons morphs. For best results, use a dial setting of 1.000 for each morph.

Vicky_Hip_Perineum.obj - this is a revised version of the original perineal morph I made. It forms the base for the other morphs.

Vicky_Hip_Genitalia.obj - this forms the female genitals themselves. While there weren that many vertices in the mesh available for accurate sculpting, I hope that you find this morph forming a reasonable approximation of the actual female anatomy.

Vicky_Hip_Mons_forward.obj - rotates the genital area forward. The original hip mesh had them far too vertical and posterior. I could only rotate them so far with magnets before encountering severe distortions, and I still think it not rotated far enough even with the 1.000 setting. If you are skilled at creating morphs with Ray Dream Studio or Carrara, perhaps you can improve this morph further.

Vicky_Hip_LabiaMinora_left.obj - spreads the left labia minora to the side

Vicky_Hip_LabiaMinora_right.obj - spreads the right labia minora to the side

Vicky_Hip_LabiaMinora_long.obj - makes them longer

You don't say what version of poser you're using, but the procedure's the same in them all. Put the .obj files in a folder somewhere, then open the figure (vicki) in poser. Select the genitals body part, then either double-click it or press CTRL-I, and in the dialog that opens, click on 'Add Morph'. Browse to the folder with your obj files, and select one. Give it a name (where it says 'Shape 1'), and click on OK. You should now see a new dial appear in the parameters list with the name you chose. That's your morph. Twirl the dial and the genitals should change shape. do that for all the obj files in the folder. mac

Stick 'em wherever you like. To use them, select the body part they are designed for then pick "Load Morph Target" from the Object menu. Browse to one of the morphs, load it in and name it something useful. Do this for each one and Robert is your father's brother, Or Bob's your uncle, if you prefer. :)

From the description, it sounds like the morphs were made for Vicky 1. Which means you can use them with Vicky 1 or 2, but not Vicky 3.

Since the .OBJ files have the name Hip in them, they're probably meant as morph targets for Vicki's hip. "Stick'em wherever you like." Arghh, now I have to get my mind out of the gutter again. Thanks, Sam! :P

ok, I got it now....Thanks Sam.....I was just sticking that folder into my Geometries folder and hoping it would just show up as an object....wasn't looking for a dial at all, and wouldn't even have seen it if I didn't follow your insctructions : )
