While you are viewing this picture, grab the browser window and swirl it around in small circles. While doing so, stare at her eyes. Do the pupils seem to swim around like liquid to you? They do to me.

Wierd.

PS - This pic was an experiment gone bad so don't go crazy with crits about the shadows, teeth, and hair :) Ironically it took an hour to render, which sux big ones, considering how bad it came out.

I tried it, but the image doesn't move, as I believe netscape doesn't redraw the image unless the sliders are used. but I think it's a great render, although you'll note that one of the pupil hilites is shadowed, indicating that either a reflection map was used for the eyes, or that poser has trouble calculating such small details.

Same for me in IE 6 and Firefox. No movements.

It doesn't need to redraw. Maybe you have windows set up differently. When you move a window around on the screen, if you have it set like mine, it smoothly slides around, including the contents. You are moving the whole window in circles, right? Because all my apps, IE and Firefox included, are always fully painted as I drag the window around the screen. Same thing when I resize a window - its constantly updating in real time. The eye glints are just ordinary "glossy" nodes in the mat room. The fact that one of them is partially dimmed is wierd - I think its because of the transmapped hair which is casting a partial shadow.

Ah I found the setting - right click on your desktop to bring up Display Properties. Select the "Appearance" tab. Theres a button in there called "Effects..." - push it. Then check the option "Show window contents while dragging". Hit OK twice. Then you should be able to see it.

nifty :) i think it depends on the refresh rate of the monitor and/or response time and it can be more visible on lcd screens :) on mine i see long blackish liquid traces after the pupils! kitty5

bagginsbill, If you resize the Koz hair tex and trans to 50% and raise shading to 2, you'll blow through this in 10 minutes(switch it in matroom). I did 12 hours with a hair prop once...nyet

they swam around for me:) but - are you in the habit of swirling your renders around your desktop like that? weird!!

I've heard you can get the same effect by selecting your own "Properties" tab, selecting the "Contents" tab, and selecting "Add a Fifth of Scotch" on the dropdown menu. If that option is greyed out due to budgetary issues you can try the "Add six shots of cheap tequila" option. At least that's what I heard. ;-)

Before they made me they broke the mold!

Four Red Bulls today, no alcohol in a week and I see the pupils mildly swimming but hey, I happen to think that trees have consciousness.
