OK, I'm in P6 and am using DAZ V3 (recent re-download) and Jim Burtons Day office II pack and the picture represents a problem that I am having (looks painful).

Has anyone fixed something like this or have I just lost my mind (be nice)?

V

Hi Visque!- Gee, they augta work. Did you inject the morphs AND use the pose that sets the HH Joints, too?

Jim, I don't think I had any problems with these in P5 (will try it there). I did a clean reload of elements (standard V3, not GV) after I first ran across the problem and simply loaded the morphs which rendered the effect. Do the feet need to be at a "zero" state before targets are applied? Once again, I love your stuff and this could be just a simple case of my stupidity. I am still banging on it and will let you know if I find the solution. I just thought that perhaps you might have seen this before. Thanks, V ps "the Girl" is loving her clubbin wear.

Have you tried turning IK off?

Jim Burton ( ) posted Thu, 09 February 2006 at 3:54 PM

I just tried them on V3 in Poser 6, they worked O.K. for me without the figure being zeroed and without I.K. being turned off. I suggest the V3 be the first figure opened in Poser before you apply the morphs and joint setting pose, though. The joint setting pose both sets the morph and moves the centers around and changes joint parameters, from you pic it looks like it didn't go, for some reason. Oh, and thanks V, I think Glamorous Jessi is going to get a version of the Clubbin Set, too!

Yup, I've tried turning IK off and I still get the strange fitting. I'm getting the feeling it's a V3 thing on my side. I tried the old tried-and-true GV sandals and have just about the same result after conforming.

I'm losing it...

Jim, So... the proper order is Figure (V3), Clothes + shoes, then morph inject. Then I set "stillettos" to 1 on the "body" dial. I've done this hundreds of times, but maybe I've been lucky in the past. Thank you for the exceptional customer service. V

Got it!! Thanks for the help. I had not gotten a good Joint transfer. Everything snapped into place when I started from scratch and let logic (and your suggestions) guide me.

Thanks

ps again... Do you still ride bikes?

Glad you got it figured out! Yep, maybe not as much as I used to. I only did about 800 miles last year. I do work out in the gym 3 times a week, though. Your talking bicycles right? I hardly ride motorcycles at all these days, but I do have an old Honda Superhawk in my Garage I might give a little spin when the weather breaks. ;-)
