I like it! It does seem to be a little stoic and feel you can use some rolling wave action just below the seagull perhaps. Love the rocks, nice material. Oregon coastjust love it! Been there to enjoy it (the Gold Coast) with its lighthouses right into northern California. Nice visual memories from there Danamo. Ang, you really need to get out more girl. I could see nice clear tidal pools in the junkyards of Brooklyn after a good soaking rain. ;D
Excellent start.... I would agree that a little wave action might enhance the image. But it is a very nice beginning. Lol Quest.... nice clear tidal pools in the junkyards....8)
There are 10 kinds of people: Those who know binary, and those who don't.
A whiner is about as useful as a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest.
ang.. haling from the caribbean.. i do have to tell you this.. we don't get rocks..we have sand.. :-) mostly. the tidal pools that we have..are clear.. really crystal blue... i do agree..nuke..u need a bit of splash.. water isn't still around rocks like that... the waves move them...add in a dash of a wave..to show how the water gets there..not just thru the movement of tides. waves moving against a rock splashes..and foam/tiny waves around the rocks. add in a few crabs over the rocks..some seaweed.. love the lone seagull... solitude... but gorgeous. can i plz have it as a desktop pix when you done? makes me long for those days...
Nice tidal pools. They should be clearer. When I was ten on Okinawa I caught an Octopus in a pool almost exactly like this. I did not know he would not live in captivity and took him home and he died. 8^( I think you should show a boat or two out on the open water.

I thought of putting a boat in the scene, but thought it might be a bit cliche. I'm also trying to make a splash, but with little luck. I've been studying Zhann's tutorial, but don't seem to have her skill... To Sackrat, that line is a terrain that was supposed to add rolling waves... didn't work, so that's now gone and working on another... To erosiaart; tell me the rez you'd like and I'll send it to you... I'm very flattered!

Well, I've played around with this one enough. I decided to post it in my gallery. Take a look and see what you think. Thanks.Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/tut.ez?Form.ViewPages=386
The splash is made up of a few terrains with a "frothy" texture. I took my inspiration from Zhann's tut. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
