As stated above. Is it just me? Thanks :)

Hi, If you click on the "Whats New" banner, it will take you to the MP. Clint is still working on that right now :) Deb

Hi dlk, I added a few new links to the front page. On the side bar: MarketPlace Home - which will take you back to the MarketPlace front page. At the top of the newsletter: Click HERE to browse the MarketPlace - which will take you directly to the Whats New section. Clint

Is there a way around not going to the newsletter first.. short of a separate link? Having to go through this newsletter is probably good for me as I won't go the marketplace very often. Ed

Why are you force-feeding us the newsletter?

ClintH ( ) posted Sat, 11 February 2006 at 6:39 PM ยท edited Sat, 11 February 2006 at 6:41 PM

Its not the entire newsletter.

Its highlighted products from the newsletter.

The newsletter has a lot more information in it.

Makes you wonder why newspapers don't wrap the headlines inside the classified ads, doesn't it?

rdonovan, If you have a suggestion on how you would like to see the MarketPlace front page represented I'm all ears. Thanks for your input, Clint

What was wrong with letting people who want to enter the marketplace simply ENTER it without being subjected to a "marketing" (what we used to call a commercial) page? Or are you so in love with the trend in DVDs that force you to watch coming attractions for five minutes before you're allowed to watch the movie, that you simply HAD to imitate it? I can bypass this the same way I bypassed the baby picture intro - but with so many real programming issues to be resolved on this site, I find it interesting that this is a priority. Conan Doyle was right - conduct indexes character.

I second just being sent to the MP without a cover page that I have to click on. I'm all for having the NewLetter online, but couldn't it have it's own area like MOM and AOM? Where we can go if we want to, or not?

I tend to agree with rdonovan on this... If I wanted to see the newsletter I'd just open it up and read it.... but I just want to go to the marketplace... just not through the damn newsletter. Maybe you guys think it's a great idea.. I don't. What it does is make me not click on through to the store period. Ed

I got tired of seeing babies and newsletters when trying to get to the MP that I bookmarked the link to the MP and that's how I get there now. I get the newsletter in my email, I don't need to see it again on my way to the MP. As I said above, it's a good idea to have it online, but it should be in a different place with a link of it's own. Here is the MP link for those who want to bookmark it.

Acadia - that's how I bypassed the baby picture, too. Ah, well - any link they can make, we can break.
