A RAR is a zipped file using WinRAR I think you need WinRAR to unzip them. Not sure though there might be some other one you can use to do it.

See now, I was realy hoping I wouldnt have to get more sofware. I got enough on this thing already. So whats wrong with regular zip files?

Nothing is wrong with regular zip files. However, some people prefer to use .rar files as they apparently compress smaller, plus they give really cute looking icons that look like a pile of stacked books. I personally prefer zip files because if a file inside a zip is corrupt I find that I can still open the rest of the files. With .rar files I find that if a file inside is corrupt you either lose the entire archive, or the ones following that corrupt file. I can't remember which one it is but I know I've lost many files due to a few corrupt ones inside a .rar archive.

Hi, I have ran into this problem of opening RAR files too...you just download the Winrar progam to unzip it and then once you have opened it and installed your files into poser..just delete it back off your system..it is a pain..but if you really want those files..it is worth the trouble. ;)

Here is a small program that is freeware..{less than 1 MB} that can unzip .rar files and others... From the page: * Two new high-performance compression algorithms: a general-purpose algorithm for normal use, and a special text compression algorithm for high compression of text documents. * Most archivers compress files individually, but WinImp can compress multiple files together as a unit for higher compression. Unlike some archivers which compress the entire archive as one unit, WinImp can use several units for large archives, so you don't have to extract the entire archive to get the last file. * Complete repair of slightly damaged archives using optional error-recovery data added to the archive. http://www.technelysium.com.au/winimp.html

Another one to try is Filzip, a windows-based archiver/dearchiver which can handle multiple formats. It's freeware.
