Train Spotting......the act of standing on railroad platforms in all weathers and recording the identity numbers on the front of the locomotives. Passed on from father to son, this 'hobby' has dire consquences for the future social life of the young 'Anorak'; ie: he doesn't get to have one...ever. In recent years a more disturbing 'hobby' has insinuated itself into British culture. That is, recording the numbers on the tractor units of 'big wheelers' own by Eddie Stobbard. This requires driving up and down freeways and yelling at your driver to get closer to the 40tonne monster doing 70mph so that you can see the number on the side of the cab. Hope this helps.

Pakled: It's more like, "Gosh! That's locomotive 4593. A 4-6-4 (relates to wheel configuration) pulling the 9.47 from Kings Cross." NB, the picadilly line is a subway line.

Me and my mate Eddie, take advantage of one of his Dads many cottages in the High Peak area of the UK. It's just south of Manchester in a place called New Mills. It's a time to get away from the wife and drink ourselves silly and eat crap. Anyway he wanted a copy of some photo's we took sometime back so I compiled this for him.
