Subject: Pasting an Animation or Getting a Camera to Follow an Object

I have an airplane and I want a camera to follow it. I animated a camera but how do I copy the same ribbon or path from the plane to the camera. I selected the plane and then copied it and then selected the camera and went "paste animation" like the manual says but when I looked in the timeline there was no animation for the camera. I also tried linking the camera to the plane but the camera didn't really follow the plane. What is the best method to do this? and are there any Vue tutorials on this. I haven't been able to find one. Thanks

I just tried copying an animation track from a plane (created using the animation wizard with tweaked altitude on some key frames) to the main camera and it seemed to work OK. 1) Create animation for plane 2) Select plane 3) copy (ctrl-c) 4) select camera 5) right click, "paste animation" But I wouldn't normally try to animate the camera that way. 1) create animation path for airplane 2) In frame zero position camera to correctly from the airplane 3) Link camera to airplane 4) create animation preview If you want to vary the camera's position relative to the airplane slightly for diferent shots at diferent points in the animation then make the changes after linking the camera to the plane. That's the method I used for the quicky demo above, -- Mark

Mark, Sorry for the delayed response I had a lot of work to do. Thanks for the explanation I will give it a try.
