Subject: P6 Lighting question

I have a spotlight shining thru a window, the problem is that when I render the light also comes in under the wall, from the sides and the ceiling. The room is constructed like one in the real world, so no light should come thru, but it does. Any suggestions or tips would be helpful.

first suggestion is to close the angle on the spot so it only hits the window. One thing I do when aiming a spot is to turn the intensity up to 1000 so it is really bright, you can see the circumference really easily. Turn it back when done aiming. second, did you construct the building? or buy it? are the walls modular, if so you can move them to intersect each other. ::::: Opera :::::

try turning on Raytracing.. I've noticed that fixes Lightleaks 99% of the time. (You can have mesh intersection and lightleaks under the poser 4 renderengine and with non-raytraced lights..)

I built the walls using poser props. They intersect but the light comes thru. Will try with raytrace on as Khai suggests.

Light leaking happens when the walls have no thickness but are just a thin polygon. Giving the walls real depth should cure it (like, building it from box primitives instead of plane primitives).
