OK - so this is the shameless plugging of a product - so now you are warned! I just got hold of Ernyoka's new "Real Corset for V3" and I am more than a little pleased with its capability. The major morph results in a real tightlacing. The additional morphs ensure that you can even fit the edges properly. Great work - go get it! Linked to the galleries with my first try.

I find it odder that someone enjoying a product who is not the creator of it would have a thread moved to the Product forum. ernyoka1 has been around Renderosity a long time and I've a lot of respect for her (though this isn't a product I would have any particular use for). Daz is advertised heavily on the forums without movement to the Product forum. So is ContentParadise. So is PoserPros. So are other Marketplace items. So what's up with this?

I am DEFINATELY Not PoserPoster! He is a friend of mine though! And he's new on Rosity so he hasn't got a huge gallery yet. Is that so odd?!

I don't quite see why this post was moved?!

Or, as dialyn says, all posts praising Daz stuff should be moved as well! btw: Anyone familiar with Raunchy Minds will know that PoserPoster is VERY real and in no way new at Poser either! Yeah I'm a bit miffed. This doesn't seem right. It's not like I ASKED him to post this :o( But I'll remember this the next time antything from Daz is praised here for sure....

That's what I thought. I hope Karen reconsiders. It may have been a quick decision on her part without realizing it wasn't a vendor posting.

As discussed in IM, any post that starts with a phrase like "this is a shameless plugging of a product" is ALWAYS going to be moved to the Product Showcase forum. Karen

Well, anyone showing enthusiasm for a product is shamelessly plugging it, whether it is a statement or not. For consistency sake, I think, then, that all unsolicited enthusiasm for products shoud be moved. But somehow I suspect that won't happen. But now I know what I need to know.

I'm not sure that Karen is wrong by moving this to the Product Showcase. Although if it's not Poserposter's product, he IS plugging it for ernyoka1, even if it is without ernyoka's knowledge. Read the first sentence in Poserposter's post.

"OK - so this is the shameless plugging of a product - so now you are warned!"

As far as Poserposter not having an Artist's page, gallery, wishlist, etc., that is not strange at all. Everyone has to start somewhere...

Shrug. She's got the magic moving stick so she can do what she likes. There are a lot of similar posts on the Poser forum that lack the magic phrase "shamelessly plugging" and so they get to advertise merchants they like on the forums. I've done it myself and not had a thread moved. As long we know that the rules are inconsistently consistent, it's fine. I doubt very much that this will do anything except discourage Poserposter from posting again. I hope not, because enthusiasm is a rare commodity. The subject is ended for me.

So.. Let's just imagine that PP made a NEW post (which I very much doubt he will, after this debackle...) - and stated more or less the same thing, just without the "This is a shameless plug" - the post would have remained in the Poser forum?! I'll be sure to tell all my customers that in the future....

more moderator/admin illogic. I thought we'd all be used to it by now... there again.. they do tend to find new ways to amaze us all with their decisions...

Why does it really matter, most people look in both the Poser forum and the product showcase forum so it's going to be seen anyway!
Nice outfit by the way! ;-))

I'm not sure many people look here, actually. I know the admins keep claiming it, but I must admit I only look here when I'm posting something. I usually check the Poser forum several times daily, but Product Showcase? Only if I'm immensely bored. If I want to buy something, I check the What's New in the Matketplace instead. YMMV though :o) Actually.. I hope so :o)

Hmmmm - slapped over the fingers for a first try...! Well if I would have been new to this poserite world, then I might actually be intimidated. Since, as Ernyoka is pointing out, I am not, I'll probably survive this one. Those who doubt the reality of my being, please have a look at Raunchyminds, where I post a lot. I am also known to be an active poster on 3dCommune and Planit3d (just for the record) I decided to post the occasional picture here as well, but due to my general subject matter, many of my pictures will pass Renderosity by (NO, I am not doing child porn either!) I got the corset from Ernyona as a betatester and I am honestly enthusiastic. Hence my post today. And being an honest bloke, I chose to start with a "plug-warning". That apparently was a mistake. So my post was moved. I'll live with that. I'll also live with the fact that I was required to change the original text to my image, where I gave credit to Ernyoka. As a matter of fact I've already done so. What I would really like to know is whether I should also change the text to the pictures I posted at 3DCommune and Raunchyminds. The texts are more or less identical, and I am suddenly realising that with this "advertising text" I have been plugging a Renderosity Exclusive product on other websites. Is that OK?

The PTB don't HAVE the guts to move DAZ posts where they belong, let's face it. You are not really surprised, are you??

Online Now!

It does make Renderosity seem like it's biased when some non-vendor plugs are moved and blatant "Just stopped by to say DAZ is having a sale" plugs don't get moved from the software forums. My vote would be that threads that are about specific commercial products should be posted in this forum. I don't think Rendy is deliberately being unfair, but it gives the appearance that they are.
