Danamo had reminded me of a set of 2D plugins I had used some time back to make terrains for Bryce. See the tutorial "The Shape"; http://www.renderosity.com/tut.ez?Form.ViewPages=259 The plugins are called "Redfield", and a number of them are still freeware. Using one of the freeeware plugins called "Craquelure 3D", I made a vague greeble-like map to apply to a terrain. Sure, its only flat, but these various plugins come in REAL handy in making crazy patterned terrains for walls, platforms, etc. The plugin download is a single executable, which allows you to do an "expert" install, and only include the freeware plugins if you want. Thanks for the reminder danamo! AgentSmith

And, of if some of you have programs that can do it...you can apply these maps to any mesh and use them. ;o) AS

Many thanks, AS. I'd forgotten about these.

You're quite welcome AS. I knew you'd come up with some cool examples to show the kind of things you can do with the aid of these plug-ins. looks great!

The first one look like an ancient wall written by some lost civilization. Really cool.

Looks more like the inside of a really old computer, all covered in microchips and stuff.
