Subject: what is .3ds runtime location?

i've downloaded some files which are supposed be comaptable with poser. i manually install new runtimes, but ive never come across a .3ds file before where does it go? prop? character?

You import it using file >> import >> 3d studio

. . . And then be sure to save it as a prop. The original *.3ds can be deleted then.
