Printeps hair by neftis (Renderosity Marketplace)
Cyntherea Ultimate Braid by Vairesh (DAZ)

And Thorne has a posable braid, which you can parent to an existing hairstyle, among the freebies at FaerieWylde.

Check out Fredrik's Djinni braid. It's long, thick, and posable using ERC. Fully extended, it reaches more or less around Aiko's knees. The thumbnail attached is for my textures sets for it. All are free.

How about just finding a "braid" and then increasing the scale on it then placing it in position?

Try that link. There is a morphing braid there.
