Subject: Start problems

Hi all. Since a couple days I cannot start Poser 6 anymore. The introscreen comes but when the pose window must arrive, everything stops. The menu goes from blach letters to lightgray. After a couple minutes, the computer makes a warm start. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times but nothing works. Are there maybe files that are not uninstalled and which are corrupt? Is there somebody in the field who has, or who has had the same problems ? Much thanks.

Happened to me with Poser 4. I fixed it the way you have been trying to do (un/reinstall). Maybe you should contact Curious Labs or whoever owns it now. I'm sure they have a help desk.

It may have to do with Quicktime 7. You can try moving the file "Image_IO_Mac.mrw" from the ImageIOPlugins folder to another folder. If it's a Quicktime 7 problem, this should solve it. Poser won't be able to read Macintosh .pict images anymore, though.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
