Now what did I just say? It's closed! Although I liked the original slide just fine, I decided to see how much I could screw it up in Photoshop, and lo and behold... (i kinda like it though).

No, it sure looks good from here! Would I be right in thinking an overlay of a positive valve, sign & wheel over a negative background? (That nut in the middle really draws you in!! Wow!!) Actually, no I'm wrong...oh, dunno!! Howd'ya do it?

actually, mj, it's a combination of solarizing the positive to different degrees, then inverting it to negative image, and repeating the process again on 2 separate layers while adjusting values to your liking.

i thought i had commented on this great work, but i don't see my comment so here goes again. what you did here is make it appear as if you have x-ray vision. the detail is fantastic, even down to the pits in the metal. i love it. Bravo on a job well done.
