Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
You could RTE-encode the mesh to distribute it.
I dont now, sounds like a lot of work to fix something that might not even worth fixing in my opinion.
She also has oversized hands and mediocre joints, especially knees and ellbows. Ive tried to fix the hands with magnets and also with scaling, but no luck.
Not to mention that there are zero bodymorphs around for her and only a handfull of clothes.
And if you modify her too much, even the few things that are already out there wont fit anymore.
I mean, MIKIs body isnt BAD, its just not GOOD.
V3 and even V2 are better. Not perfect by any means, but definitely better.
Not to mention SP3, which is A LOT better.
Anyway, good luck with your attempt.
I found another "solution" for her mesh problems, though.
Mwahaaahahaha... ;-P

Great work. There are morphs for her, but they don't help much though.
I'd love to be able to get her to look like this without a V3 merger and fully posable, LOL
Regards, Michael
As Shanims morph combined with the Ultimate Body morphs for Miki works nicely. I think Miki is terrific, although I'd buy a fix for her flaws just as quickly as I would have bought a fix for V3's flaws back when I used to use her. edit: Forgot to mention Posermatic has a good Miki morph. I don't care for it set to full by itself, but it combines well with As Shanims and the Ultimate Morphs. Between those 3 morph sets you can do a lot with Miki.

There's quite more than a "handfull" of clothes out for Miki by now. CP keeps putting out new stuff for her, this week (or was it last week's) freebie was a dress for her, and the Miki CE pack has also just been released to the general public (It has been a Passport item for some weeks) Jules[somenumbersIcanneverremember] has also put out quite a lot of morphs for her, I know at least they're avaiable for free on Raunchyminds and probably elsewhere as well. I'm all for fixing Miki's issues, but.. at the same time that would mean that nothing of what is out for her by now will work anymore, and that may kill the whole idea. As a "smallerhands/feet morph" exists for the Freak, it should absolutely be possible to do the same for Miki, if the size of her hands bothers you. Personally I never noticed it until someone pointed it out. I'd rather have a fix for the JP's in her hands, they get REALLY funky when you try to use premade poses on her. Usually characters can take each other's poses with just a little tweaking.. but Miki... not really. She does work reasonably well with Mayadoll poses btw.

The only small freak hands I know are snowsultan's free ones. Makes it tricky to fit shoes on him - the shoes go to the wrong spot. It's fixable but a fiddle for the shoe problem on the freak. Love esther ps the fix isn't perfect either - there is some deformity.
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
It's a pity ,that a great Figure like Miki has that Joint bending issues. What is anatomically correct good for when the hip polys creases in an ugly way if bending the hip.Put Miki in Doggy pose and see what happens to her privat parts--ouch that hurts.I think Miki is a great Product, but I would be glad ,if some joint and mesh-experts could fix it.The same for Jessi. :)
A couple of things, one is that fixing Miki's mesh problems won't have any bearing on whether clothes fit or not. The issue would be morphs would not transfer. On the other hand, fixing the mesh and making it a single mesh makes it possible to make joint correction morphs to fix the poser rigging problems. Part of Miki's rigging problems are due to less than optimal rigging, but much is due to the way Poser does rigging.
Uhm.. if you alter the rigging, then conforming clothes will no longer conform properly. So altereing that WILL influence on whether her clothes fit or not. Minor corrections, like the toe fix and making smaller hands will not influence on the clothes, but making alterations to (for instance) her hip joints will indeed mean that she can't wear any of her "old" clothes.

THis is exactly why I hate Miki. She looks good, and I see images of her that constantly tempt me to buy her. Then I remember why I can't bring myself to do so: (1) She has twice as many polygons as the RAM-hungry V3, yet (2) She is rigged like freakin Posette, bending problems and all. No disrespect to those who like Posette; she was fantastic for her time, and is still useful in many ways, but there is a good reason why Eve was developed, and why all professional character models after her have a similar rigging style.

@ R_Hatch: Miki could be my favourit Figure if not those issues... .1)Many Polygons is not the point .They have to be on important Bodyparts.I don't want 3Billion Polys on the Shins. 2)You are absolutly right here.Total agreement-------------------Terrai Yuki bends fantastic but something's missing.(I don't like TY's UV Map by the way.)

Miki as a unimesh. For posterity; You have to skip UVmapper with original welded mesh and use it as a hacked cr2 to accept Zbrushed morph.obj(file>import>wavefront). MorphfromOBJ.py(svdl) now works on Miki. Just a few Finger parts and toes do not get auto deleted. Just save the new Character and reopen in a new scene. A FBM(complete mesh) now takes 3 minutes to process in poser.

richardson talked me into buying Miki so I could see how they did her (we're working on our own mesh) and fix the issues he keeps running into with her. After a couple of days of checking her out, I have to say I'm very dissappointed in the fact that they put her out with all the issues she has. So far the list goes like this: 1. loose vertices in one of her toes (very easy to clean up, so why didn't they bother?) 2. mesh breaks in her neck (trivial to fix, so why didn't they bother??? Fixing it now changes the vertex count and order.) 3. The eyes make up for 15,000 of her already heavy weight polygon wise. The polys are so dense in her pupil that I couldn't even resolve them. P5/6 does polygon smoothing so there is absolutely no point in carrying this much weight, especially when she could use more polys other places. 4. All the body parts are seperate mesh objects. Why? (There is no good reason that I'm aware of and she loads just fine if you make her into a single mesh.) 5. The UV maps have issues... And all that is from just looking at the mesh... haven't gotten to the rigging yet. Anyway, now for the big question. All the mesh problems are fixable without that much work (richardson is sculpting on a fixed version in ZBrush as I type LOL). Is there any way to legally make the fixes generally available? I'm changing the vertex count and order, so I need something that requires the old mesh to let people use the corrected version, not to mention richardson body morphs for the corrected version. Any suggestions on how we can share the fixes will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
