Subject: How to extract a texture from a Vue scene ?

Reading the Vue manual, I'm unable to find how to save/export to .jpg or .bmp texture maps stored inside Vue scenes. For example, I'm interested in saving for later editing the rock texture inside the "Cerro Verde " scene, how to do that ? Thanking in advance for any reply.

You can save a material in Vue, in the advanced material editor, by pressing the save icon, in the lower right corner of the material editor. It will save in the .mat format, but not in an image file format. Tos save as jpeg or other, you need to export the obect that uses a texture ( even procedural), then Vue will create bitmaps for the textures. You can't export procedural terrains, though.

Or...you could simply apply the material to a cube or plane, bring the camera in and render a snapshot of it. Then you just make it seamless in some 2d app.
