Subject: Another Material Room question

schtumpy ( ) posted Thu, 02 March 2006 at 1:34 PM · edited Sat, 11 January 2025 at 5:42 PM

I've had P6 since just about the beginning, but I'm just now starting to explore the Material room. About a month ago I learned about making skin texture MAT file like creations, but I'm wondering if there is a preloaded material that looks like leather for a leather coat I'm working on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

schtumpy

You'll want a tiling texture. Might try RDNA in freeDowns. P5 or P6 textures

There's a brown leather texture included with Poser 6. It's in the "Basic materials" folder.

You could also try the "chocolate" material from the same "basic materials" folder, with a bit of twiddling it can give decent leather effects, and be a little different from the norm.. Cheers, Diolma

I found one for free in the Free Stuff, and it worked out perfectly. Thanks everybody for your help, Schtumpy

Ajax has a free shader pack that includes a procedural leather material.
