What's the most interesting thing you've seen or built using only or mostly only the Primitives that come with Poser? Take a look, if you'ld like, at my Work in Progress. Built using only the 5 primitives above.

Thanks for looking.

Have a great weekend & an even better March!

Scott

And oh yes I was going to ask if anyone knows where I can get more fancy primitives sale or free is fine; Arches Triangles Diamonds ect...
Thanks again.

Hi Scott,

Nicely done ... but you might get more of these good folk here at R'osity to take a peek at it if ya gives 'em a clickable link to it ... like the one above in this post.

cheers,
dr geep
;=]

BTW - If you enjoy using primatives ... Have you seen my "Magic box" (6 poly box) prop?
You can reduce your polygon count by 98% if you use it in place of the cube (box).

Hi Scott,

I just completed the last part of it and have mailed (today) a test (production) copy to myself to make sure that the "system" works properly.

When I receive the CD (1-2 days) and test it (1 day) ... then I will post a notice on Dr Geep Studios (website) with the "How to order" info.

Thanks for asking.

cheers,
dr geep

YES!!!

blizzard ( ) posted Sat, 04 March 2006 at 11:39 AM

Excellent! I must admit I haven't spent enough time reading what's available here. It's a tad confusing spread out in these forum style pages. But your knowledge of Poser is very vast & your layouts very fun! Thus I can not wait for it all neatly on cd. ") And whats that I read over on your site? CD Dedicated to... And here with all your knowledge I thought you were Larry. ;) Scott

I have a selection of morphing primitives exactly for uses such as these. Maclean has his Prop-o-Rama sets in 3D Commune free stuff - worth downloading even if you only read the readme. You'll see what I mean. ;) Gerald Day has a primitives set at Fast 3D - in archive 2. There are probably others that I've forgotten about. I know there are others I've forgotten about. :)

Ah Much thanks.
Morphable Primitives & the cool arches in Geeps tuts...
Now were cooking with gas. :>/

Just downloaded... All of them except for 3D commune, no account there, Yet we'll have to change that.

Thanks again.

Did this a long time ago. Used only the primitives available in B4, and lots of booleans...

best of luck with the CD, geep. it's high time you were rewarded for your years of work here and elsewhere.

Thank you very much Nancy ... I appreciate those sentiments.

Truth be told? - I got tired of people "buggin' " me to just "do it" ... so, I just .................. did it.

On Febuary 18 or maybe it was a day earlyer, I put together the props for the above image. That's when I got the idea to give this a try.

I began putting together another house but when parenting it together I messed it up beyond repair and had to start again.
That probably put me at Feb 22 as the begining day.
A couple hours a day but missed a few days here and there and was away last weekend.

Hmmm... I'ld have to say Two weeks maybe 20 to 25 hours ball park figure. That includes much learning & test renders to.
Lighting is always a pain. Render adjust, render adjust, ect...

And now the "fun" part. Adding figures that should slow things up a bit.

While applauding Geep's care to prevent the revelation of Clissified Information, I feel that he doesn't go far enough.

I trust that this cover sheet will assist all concerned in dealing with at least some of the threads on this forum, maintaining the confidentiality of their contributions.
