Hi all just wondering if this bodyarmor i made looks like anything. Its not finished yet but i wanna know if its going anyware. It is going to be a Knights armor that with other maps can be used as SF armor. I thougt that Knight stuff was welcome here also SF so i try to do it in one outfit. Pleas tell me what you think ... It one of my first things i made with 3d in this way so don't kill me all at once :} Chris

A nice s-f armor, yes. Knight's armor - not really, unless very very fantasy oriented.

As it is, I'd say it looks like "Sci Fi" armor. With a different texture IE: Chainmail for the arms, hammered decorative metal for the chest plate, it would look more medieval fantasy. Check out some screenshots of Lord of the Rings

"It is good to see ourselves as others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to say." - Ghandi

Sci-fi, Space, maybe. But not medieval, or fantasy style..it's too 'flat' in vital areas. Tthe idea of armour in those days was to present a 'glancing surface'..to direct any weapon hits away from vital areas..and to avoid areas that would 'catch' a point and allow it to bite in. With those ribs..and some of the embossing on the chest..you've created spots tha will allow nasty pointy things to concentrate their force and penetrate.

Knights armor points Taken... So it will become an SF armor and a knights armor will come a later stage :} Thnx to all that commented on this question! Chris
