When I need to adjust something on a model in a standand veiw and have to change the angle a little, I'll go back to the reference veiw and my keyframe is all messed up. What work flow do you usually employ when changing the position of a model for keys in an animation. Here's the alpha transformation I've been working on... SP

If I understand your question, here's an answer. I use the default camera for all positioning and then put a second camera in the scene for the rendering point of view. Whenever I have to go to the reference views, I just switch to the default camera. No keyframe changes happen on the rendering camera.... Using this technique also lets you move the rendering camera. You can even enable the 'view motion path' option and see where the camera is going, just like any element of a model.... It works for me.... Hope that helps....

So AZ you move your object around to different positions do you set up more reference veiw cameras or allow the default camera to move with the object as an attachment? And when I'm browsing for the pic from this window does it have to say alpha.gif or alpha.jpg , be a certain size for it to upload?

Above you'll see a timeline of an animation I did. (The insert is just the camera properties window to show that Camera 2 is selected.) Camera 2 is my rendering camera (set in scene settings). Whenever I need to move an object in my Graphic Group, or if I need to move Camera 2, I switch to a Camera 1 view (using the Camera Properties window which you can add to your work environment under the Windows pull-down menu). Then while viewing the document from camera 1, I can switch to front, side, top, reference -- whatever. Yeah, it'll put a new keyframe along camera 1's timeline, but those can always be deleted, and it won't interfere with your actual rendering camera.... As for uploading pics, make sure you've saved it as a .gif or .jpg. Then when you browse, the upload image window here should show the path to the image. Mine, right now, says "D:IMAGESref.jpg"

I guess the conditions to upload images here are the same as in the galleries . I've joined the link to the upload page there . Also, i'll ask the Renderosity team if they can add a "troubles uploading" link in the forum, as people often get broken images . litst

It's a rather tricky problem, but it seems that when I zoom out in the placement camera then go back to my veiwing camera the view has changed even though I saved the veiw to a custom position. Once again I have to zoom in and out trying to get my objects back into the frustum. When I get time i'm going to read the camera part again, they really make this process sound simple. Well se if IE will post my image this time
