I want to celebrate. Practical Poser 6 is getting rave reviews ... so that's a good thing. And Apollo Maximus has been released at Content Paradise today. So, in celebration for both, I decided to run a contest. The prize? I have one copy of Practical Poser 6 left to give away. But how many people can claim they have an autographed copy? (Hint: less than 10! LOL) With Practical Poser 6, you not only get Apollo Maximus Compact, but a host of other Poser figures as well. Plus an autographed copy of a book that is flying off the shelves. So, here's the deal. This contest is meant in FUN!!!! I want you to have FUN!!!! Show me how bad you really need this book. To get a chance at this autographed copy, post a render in your gallery, starting the image title with UGLY: so that I can find them. Entries must be posted by the end of March. On April Fool's Day, I will select the ten images that got me laughing the hardest. And then I will post the ten finalists in a judging thread, and let the community pick the winner. Now ... UGLY can mean a really ugly person, a really bad render that you are totally ashamed of and want to throw darts at, Naked Elvis in a Temple with a Sword, or anything else that will bring a really huge smile to my (and everone else's) face. Come on, folks, have fun ... and join in on my celebration. And have a great time doing it!

Aw, Bill, she is truly a girl that mom could love! Maybe she's just surprised that she was able to put on her lipliner in her sleep. 8-) Kudos for expression and emotion! I do like the look of surprise on her face!

Just to show you that we all learn and grow with practice ... Ten years ago ... Poser 2 ... my early attempts at painting clothing, hair, and other additions. This is one that I would classify as a dart target! LOL Back in those days, Poser figures couldn't wear clothing, and they didn't have hair. This is an example of my early attempts at painting clothing and hair ... and check out those wonderful wings (cough!) I was so proud of this back then ... but oh how patience and study has made a difference. I still can't paint clothing worth a darn (folds are killer), but I've made progress on hair. 8-) I will continue to hunt for others. But this is one of the earliest I could find!

OK, how's this to make it more fun? The main character in your render should have at least two of the following features, the more the better: Bloodshot eyes Crooked teeth Wild hair A wart A big nose A pot belly Big feet Think of a classic Halloween witch, or Freddie Krueger, or any other fictional character that is just plain UGLY!!!! Add anything else that you can think of that would be humorous!

LOL Bill those expressions are great! LOLOLOL I have a feeling this is gonna be hard to judge! LOL

Early renders are fine, if you have the courage to show them like Irish did (and that was your first???? WOW!). But, if you want to create something new and unique and UGLY, see the rules in post 5.

PC was running low on memory so saved something I was working on with V3 in Poser & this is what I got when I opened the file up. Maybe not the ugliest thing I've ever done but certainly the strangest..
