Subject: exported Poser5 image..dark

Morning! I've been noticing something I am curious about. I did some portraits this week and in Poser they were exactly like I wanted them. I exported the images to save them and they are suddenly much darker :( Is this normal? Any suggestions for winding up with the image with the right lighting once it is exported? Mystmaiden

Online Now!

How are you exporting them?

The default is a really low-quality JPG. Try increasing the JPG quality, or use a non-compressed format like TIFF.

I'm exporting as the highest quality jpg xp seems to allow (100) I'll try the TIFF. Thanks Mystmaiden

What are you opening the exported images in? Back in my old job I used Photoshop and Paintshop Pro. Both had gamma profiles set and my monitor was perfectly calibrated, yet there was a marked difference in appearance between images opened in one package or the other.
