. . . something figurative in nature. It can be a rock, a tree, a bush -- anything that reminds you of the human form. I have to thank my new aquaintance Peit (busi2ness) for giving me the idea with his White Lady tree photo (Africa - nudity in nature?). Go take a look with the link I provided. Peit, you are also welcome to re-post the image here, or another one if you have it. Anyway, I was inspired to go look for something like this and found this old dead tree on eveining. It reminded me of a standing woman leaning back raising her arms in a dancer's pose beseechingly to the moon. I also found it kind of funny that the shredded bark (courtesy of hurricane Wilma) fell just so and with the stoplight in the background, looked like she had a camera slung over her shoulder. =o] If you haven't posted a Simon before, please check out the rules in the black box up above, top right. Thanks and looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!

Eh...the women in Florida must be hideous if you think this tree resembles one. #:o/ LMAO! Brilliant Simon my friend...now if only i could find something to upload once i get home from work. Dont want to be the first one of course...DUH. Nice of you to mention Piet as well, hes a really nice guy. #:O)

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Aww...dont worry though...a few of my swedish female co-workers look like short and chubby bushes, lol. #;O) Im guessing all the "tree-huggers" share your imagination though, lol.

Shame it's got to be human form, took a photo 10 days ago and found that the tree bark had a orangutans face in it after I downloaded it, never saw it at the time. Oh well. Steve

Zacko ( ) posted Thu, 16 March 2006 at 9:23 AM

Im pretty sure thats fine too Steve. I for one would love to see a tree shaped as a monkey. #:o)

Oh well why not, if it's not accepted as human/monkey form I will delete it. Can you see the orangutans face with his/her arms below the face on his/her chest, or is it just me.

Nope you got me on this one I'm imaginatively challenged :(

I see it UKMac! Great one. And TwoPynts definitely reminds of a ballerina. This one reminded me of a torso... which means I probably should get out more. lol

For those of us not working with nudity every day (LOL), I super imposed an almost transparent nude image onto the tree to explain what I saw in my (vivid) imagination. Please look at the original and tell me I am OK! Haha. I am sure "my lady" was also looking at the moon (exactly like Kort's), but I was a bit taken in by the beauty and do not even remember spotting the moon!

Good riddins Piet. Unmistakebly a woman! It's unbelievable with the transparent nude image how almost acurate the dimentions are. Amazing.

It makes me think of a person running away from the camera seen from the torso up. =]

ROFLMAO..... "Can you see the orangutans face with his/her arms below the face on his/her chest, or is it just me. Steve" Yep, it's you, and you look like an Orang-Utang!!! Sorry bud, couldn't resist that one... (",)

I found this tiny dancer in a reflection in the water... or I guess he could be walking the tight rope??? He definately has his hat on backwards anyway... what do you see???

I see a person standing at an edge in this one. Great Simon...

FuzzyShadows ( ) posted Thu, 16 March 2006 at 11:32 PM

Oh I love that one nongo. I see a "karate kid movie" pose too. Remember that movie scene? Definitely a man in dBgrafix's image... standing next to a tripod. lol I know that's a bit of a stretch. And newleaf's does look like it's running away, maybe even with a backpack on. And Joe went way, wayyy abstractish with his interpretation. lol

Is this sensual Mother Nature on her back? Spotted at Bourke's Luck potholes near Ohrigstad, South Africa. I agree with FuzzyShadows about the backpack on the "tree runner" from newleaf. Is the tree running away from us humans slashing and burning the remaining forests? I would have loved to see its (traumatised) face! Hey I am getting phylosophical here! LOL Its amazing all the images posted here. I see a different face form every time I study Kim's "mutant Queen" - and L8RDAZE, I haven't touched Mikes Hard Lemonade, yet! (LOL) Is it a coincidence that trees surprise us regularly with a resemblance to a human body part? Do we share a closer bond than we can imagine? Hey I know it's not a Q&A forum, let me stop!

I can actually see two distinct faces on Errol's (sharky_) pic, the one is above the baby type face and resembles a gorilla face.

I also broke the rules I guess (BLUSH) I had a picture explaining what I saw in the tree referred to by Kort, and I thought it did not count, but strictly speaking I guess it does, sorry. I removed the first pic since.
