Sounds interesting, however you might want to rethink this part "You will have to create this character in detail. You will have to creat the character in 3d using programs like poser (the 3d program you use must be able to export the character to a Wavefront Object (*.OBJ). " If people are not to submit only rendered images but must send you their characters in .obj then I'm afraid only original meshes will apply since Poser cannot be used to distribute .obj's as they are original Zygote geometry.

Can have the .obj files converted with Maz's Objaction Mover at http://www.sandylodge.demon.co.uk/ This way if people really own the original files they can use the modified one as well. A second choice would be morph targets, but once again it would be best to use Objaction Mover. I hope this helps, Sam

Link didnt work for me. All I got was bunch of "File Not found" and nothing to click on. Dave

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Fri, 30 March 2001 at 9:31 AM

I had the same problem as Dave. Nothing but a page full of "File Not found." The only things that actually showed up were the advertising banner at the top and the logo thingie on the far right. Other than that it said that "/style" was not found on the server. Kate

(Just let me get my story tool-belt adjusted here...) About "Finally": sounds like an RPG for Poser artists! Which is a cool idea, actually. Dextah, are you going to use a game system? Which could be quite necessary to keep things going on an even keel, get characters to mesh, and so forth. Not to mention that people are familiar with the concept of an RPG. White Wolf Games has several very good systems, all geared toward storytelling rather than just hack and loot. There are on-line WW games, but i doubt that any of them are visual! i'd be happy to correspond on the subject, having played quite a bit of WW in my time. :^) Nan

By the way, here's something else to think about if using a published game syste that could be good for your site: sponsorship. :^)

This project sounds very interesting. In which direction should the story go? More Fantasy, SF, Cyberspace, Real World, Horror?

Thank you all for your interest. I'm all by myself on this so every idea and suggestion is a good one. Again my apologies for the site. some browsers dont accept CSS-2. Oh yes Harie: The direction is unknown yet. And NfredMan: Could you suggest some sponsors? And yes.. it's a kind of RPG. Please all keep in touch. We might just create something New.

Hi there--i'm not sure who you'd speak to at White Wolf Games. Perhaps the Camarilla folks? (That's their humongous fan organization.)
