Subject: Want to make scenes from Phantom of the Opera 2004 movie, please help

jan_scrapper ( ) posted Wed, 15 March 2006 at 5:25 PM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 5:13 AM

I am wondering if there are any Parisian Opera Houses, morphs or characters for V3 or Aiko as Christine and M3 characters as Erik (Phantom). I saw the 2004 movie, bought it, want to go see the play and think I might do some scenes for fun. I know there are already clothes, but any thoughts or ideas would be awesome. Also, there are so many wonderful poet shirts for sale which open to the waist, however, I have never seen one with ruffles that would either looked buttoned up or open.

I have several packages from JPeter which I am planning on using for the handsome Phantom, Gerard Butler.

However, if anyone has actually done Gerard Butler as the Phantom and just cannot call him that for copyright reasons, please tell me!!!

Just kind of on an Erik kick right now!!! I am not the only one, though...the internet is filled with women who like him.

Thank you for your response in advance!!!

I assume you've seen the free Opera Stage at Daz3d?

Oh, my goodness, I forgot all about that!!! I think the old brain is getting rusty OR could it be that the Poser Community is unbelievable with freebies. It is Christmas every day in this world of 3d! Thank you so much! That is certainly a wonderful start, I should say.

I certainly didn't say I would not purchase the things I need. I would think the Poser community loved this movie. I just saw it this year, I hope I am not too late for the interest. Come on guys...sexy Phantom, beautiful Christine, goofy Carlotta...

Attached Link: Venice Face Masks and Carnival Masks

I think the poser world just couldn't figure out where to put the naked vicky in the scene without the temple and sword? unless you built a set in the middle of the opera house and painted a temple backdrop? I think your idea is brilliant, and there's no issue with making a cool operatic setting with figures in it that have brilliant costumes and look somewhat like the Victor Hugo characters, since the Victor Hugo story is like 100 years old and he's been dead a while, I think the original story is in the public domain. Remember that alot of these stories are not owned by film companies nor by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Just their renditions of them. But not the original characters from Phantom. That belonged to Victor Hugo and is in the public domain. However, if you use the mask from the Broadway play or the one from the film, that might have some copyright issues with it. However, if you like, you can go to some really cool websites in Venice, Italy (look up Carnivale, Masks or Costumes) and you will find some BRILLIANT masks you could have someone model for you in 3D without infringing copyrights. And you could actually ask JPeter to help you with a face morph, he might actually consider doing it if you put a nice Paypal transfer in there (he does brilliant work) or if you give him the idea to make a specific package, he might do it. Never know until you've tried. Greetings, Antonio MalePoserotica, PoserGuys PS: Attached the link to my favorite mask maker in Venice.

I thought I had found a mask but it was for Vicky and actually has morphs built in. It was just a regular mask though not the kind that the Phantom wore. It mad me think though. I'd like to see to see a female phantom. Maybe she could haunt a Fabio looking tenor. Of course the Opera would be Salome.

Thank you so much for all of this great advice. Actually I spoke to JPeter on DAZ message board about this because I think he is one of the best male character artists. I even purchased 4 or 5 of his sets to bribe him :) I was going to purchase them anyway. I don't want him to do this for free. I am in the middle of organizing all of my files, but hope to get to a point where I can start of this...just as fan art. The Phantom I want to creat is one I hope a pic comes in on below.

Another view Also, this shows the poet shirt I am trying to find with ruffles. I am going to have to add ruffles to one of the poet shirts I am finding in the Market Place.

Uzilite has a great set at Daz called Sade. It's not cheap, though. You could use a transmap on the coat to make it jacket length. If you are a Daz PC'er you can get the Matador set for $1.99!

"singing songs in my head..." Oh, I know what you mean. There are several people on the site who have screen names from the movie, or the play or the book... I really thought they might have some thoughts, as well. I am gathering these goodies in my shopping carts or downloading freebies, and Lord willing, I will not have to work this weekend and can play.
