I have Hexagon and have already ordered Hex2 which should ship in the next month. I would not buy Hex 1 but wait till Hex 2 is done. IMHO it is a fantastic modeling program. I specifically chose it because I am new to modeling and after viewing all the tutorial videos on their site numerous times I felt I could easily learn the program. It took me a little while and now I can model quickly and easily. I heartly recommend the program to whoever wants to break into modeling and doesn't need to spend the extra money for a program that also renders. I love it and, until something else can beat it for its features and price, will continue using it till I die ;)
If you buy Hex 1 now from Eovia, you will get Hex 2 for free when it comes out next month. I can't wait to use the UV unwrapping it'll have.

I just bought Hexagon in order to get Hexagon 2 when it comes out. I've also recently added Zbrush to my toolbox and I'm in the wings for Silo 2 as well. I think I will use all three for one thing or another, as all tools have their strong and weak points. Now the only thing keeping me from being a successful modeler is actually doing it.......
I've been very happy with Hexagon, easy to get into and understand. After trying demos of Silo and Hexagon, I found Hexagon was most intuitive. Try all the demos before you buy.

hello, Ive been trying out the hexagon modeler demo from eovia. exporting the models to vue5 for render. (hexagon has no built in renderer). I'm impressed with the tool set and features and the price at $199 is nice. wondering if anyone else has tried the demo or already owns hexagon and what you think.
