Subject: What we see, illlusion, reality, photogaphy...postwork in the mind.
I think it's our eyes and apparently it's got something to do with the haze of waste...

Yes, it is not magnified by the angle of the atmosphere. Rather it appears larger due to the fact it is closer to earthbound objects by which we can compare it to. High in the sky, there is no point of reference. Nice thoughts there Tom. :)

Ilona, certainly you may use the image for a poem. IM me or let me know when posted.(If on the forum, likely I will find it quickly.) I look forward to this, very much. I look forward to your words...the moon was there one night when doing a walk for exercise. I waited untill it was just above the tree limbs and shot the picture. The color is just as seen that evening. I look forward to seeing your words with this photo. Tom.

Ok, I admit to getting a little esoteric in some posts...This image of of..well, the moon. Did you know that the moon seen in the sky is smaller than the moon seen rising over the horizon? It is not. Tht moon is the same size by measure in either location..that is "what we see" and the illusion is the measure in our thought.
To me, the reality is a larger moon at the horizon since that is what I see..even if science shows it is not so.
Photographs..well, we see what we often want to see in any particuilar image. Sure, some rules show which shots are generally considered better than others but in the end is is our mind, our thoughts, our interpretation seeing the photo. The same with the moon.
I will take a large moon on the horizon any time, illusion or not. And that does not need postwork.
