Hi Doc!
I almost feel "duty bound" to send you the $$ just to pay you (a fraction of) the cost to you in time and energy for all the past Renderosity posts...
But I'm wondering if these tutorials are solely the subject matter rather than a "transcript" of the Renderosity threads(containing the 8000 one-line "bookmarks" people post.)
Thanks for making the CD AND all the help you've given us here at Renderosity!!
Ray
Hi Ray,
You can send me the money even if you don't want the CD. ;=] ..... I won't even complain.
The CD has only the graphics that are in the threads.
(I even put the pages in numerical order for ya.) ;=]
It does NOT have anything that was not created by me, i.e., no "transcripts" from any of the threads.
These tutorials are solely the subject matter ... does that matter? ;=]
So ...
You can just merrily roll along =or= click (or scroll) from one page to the next with (literally) no interference.
(except maybe for an occasional wise-crack from NaySayGuy)
It's sort of like driving on the Interstate highways - no red lights ..... um, unless you drive too fast ... then you might see one in your rear view mirror. ;=]
cheers,
dr geep

Oh will be just like having Dr. Geep at home with you! Ya! Well I know is not as good as the real thing, but we take what we can get. ;-) Thanks for having Plan B, since I am most miffed at Paypal and don't use them anymore. Will have my envelope all set to get a postal money order on Monday. Do you want that form filled out for all orders or can we just include the information with the order?
re: "Plan 'B'"
Old ancient saying: "Ah yes, 'Plan B', always have a 'Plan B'!"
re: "Do you want that form filled out for all orders or can we just include the information with the order?"
Hi LilWolf,
You can do it either way ... BUT ... I would prefer that you fill out the form on the website for 2 reasons.
I have a record of it in my saved file and I can have one all ready to ship as soon as payment is received because my label addressing system is automated (sort of). If you send me a letter with your address in it, then I have to enter alll that data by hand on my tired old keyboard. ;=] (just kidding - it's not a big problem)
If your letter gets delayed ... I will still have a record of your order.
Your choice. ;=]
And ... thanks for the order.
cheers,
dr geep

Hmmm ...
You know bonni, you may be right.
However, it does say "Dr Geep's" which limits the domain, does it not?
And it does say "Tutorials for Poser ... " which specifies the content, does it not?
God knows I am not perfect but that I only try to make this li'l blue marble, that we all live on, a better place.
To be perfectly honest, I did not research the whole world to find out if that title "infringed" on anyone else's "territory."
That just seemed an appropriate name to use.
I am not claiming it as a trade mark ... just a name ... you now like Mary or Suzy or Helen or, even ....... Bonni.
If I get in trouble and get a cease and desist order ... then I will cease and desist ... and then perhaps reproduce it and call it something like, um, er, ...
"Dr Geep's CD With 3D Stuff On It" ...
Oops, there is a possibility that someone, somewhere in this gi-norous world has prolly used the name "3D Stuff" trademarked ........ somewhere ...... someone ...
It is troubling that society in general seems to have gotten insanely jealous and possessive to the extreme and so overly concerned about treading on anyone's toes that it is amazing that anything new ever gets created ... um, that has a name, that is.
Maybe I should just have named it ...
CD#1 ... and let it go at that.
What do you think?
cheers, (anyway)
dr geep <-------------- producer of the "CD#1" .... aka ... "Dr Geep's Wacky World" (at least, for now)
;=]
BTW - Wasn't there a singing group that produced a record album (on vinyl) named "Four?"
Oops, guess we can't use that name anymore, can we. ;=]
While I'm at it, maybe I'd better change my name ... have you tried doing a Google search for "geep?"
Edited in an attempt to remove all cuss words, dirty jokes, speling airors, pictures of NVIATW(or WO)AS, TOS violations (I hope I found 'em all), NaySayGuy's junk (that he always wants added), and all TOP SECRET information (including code names). Message edited on: 03/26/2006 07:59

I'm not an authority on copyright infringement, but I don't see a trademark or copyright symbol included in 3D Universe's toon advertisments. "Dr. Geep's Wacky World" is distinct from the "3D Universe's Wacky World" anyway, and the term "wacky world" was not invented by 3D Unverse (do an Internet search and see how many people use that term). Doesn't seem like an infringement of anyone's rights to me.
And since Dr. Geep has a strong sense of humor, I wouldn't post to a thread of his without expecting a little jest in return.
That's why I enjoy his tutorials so much. Too many people take themselves way too seriously...Dr. Geep usually keeps a light tone.

I guess I'm screwin' up my own thread, ain't I ...
Well, it's a wacky world. ;=]
Oh well, mayhaps it'll give someone out there in this cold cruel world just a little bit of a chuckle .... or not ... it's their choice.
