Subject: Visitors to my garden

The last few days my cherry tree has been in full bloom and I've been getting to capture images of visitors to the blooms. Here are some of the photos I've gotten in the last day or so.

now these are beautiful quality macros ... busy as a bee.. perfect timing...now what its like chasing bees around the garden attempted once..!!!! excellent hope theyre all going to be presentated in your gallery... :) nikki:) p.s knows danob would love those buttys...:)

What kind of camera and settings do you use to take these photos? They are absolutely breathtaking. :)

Mayliah, Thanks for your kind comment. I use a Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel for most of my photos and my setting for catching the bee in flight was: 1/800s f/5.6 at 300.0mm iso100 full exif. For the slightly slower moving butterflies:1/500s f/5.6 at 160.0mm iso100 full exif. All taken with my 70-300mm Canon Lens. Thank you also, DanoB and nikki! :-) Jane

Thats the only ever Bee attempt Jane last June l believe, cant remember ..!!! may attempt more this summer.. Isnt warm enough for bees yet in England..we are infact a month behind with weather, which is typical...!!!! bee shot
