Several people have asked about sites where they could go to get feedback on their writing. I haven't tried this myself but the is group comes recommended by writers on another list I'm on: The Internet Writing Workshop is a set of mailing lists providing: a community where writers can submit and critique works through email. a forum to discuss all aspects of writing. a public service educational organization, free of charge, staffed by volunteers. The Workshop is open to all styles and genres of writing: literary fiction, genre fiction, poetry, children's writing, essays, newspaper articles, scripts, you name it. Members do not need to be published writers, only to be serious about writing and about wanting to improve. The lists function entirely via email. See the How it works page for more information. Our discussion lists are: Writing - discussion of all issues related to writing Creative-D - sublist of NFiction for focused discussions of Creative Nonfiction. MarketChat - sublist of NFiction for discussion of the business aspects of freelance writing SFChat-L - discussions on writing Speculative Fiction in all its forms Our critiquing lists are: Fiction - short stories in all genres Lovestory-L - romance fiction Nfiction - all forms of non-fiction Novels-L - novels in all genres (submitted and critiqued in parts) Poetry-W - all forms of poetry Practice-W - weekly writing exercises Prose-P - prose poetry, flash fiction, etc Script-W - film and theater scripts Yawrite - writing for children and young adults All critiquing lists have mandatory participation requirements (critiques/submissions per month). Thanks so very much for the link! I notice they have a teenwrite, although inactive at the moment. My daughter and I have been looking for something like this to help improve our writing. She has several friends who might even be interested. I'll let them know :).

I think they would revive the teen area if enough people were interested. I hope it works out for you and your daughter. :)
