Subject: Converting M2 items to use with M3??

JLyons ( ) posted Tue, 04 April 2006 at 7:52 PM ยท edited Tue, 30 July 2024 at 12:26 AM

I am trying to use the Antons Egyptians set which was designed for Michael 2 with Michael 3. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working. My question is this; is their an easy way to convert M2 items for use on M3? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to use this set on M3. Thanks James

philc's wardrobe wizard might do the trick.

Hmmm, any other suggestions? The demo doesn't let me try to convert from M2 to M3 and $60.00 is a alot of money to throw away if it doesn't work.

M3 comes with a free M3toM2 character. M3toM2 has no bodymorphs, but he can wear M2 clothing perfectly. So if you only need M3s HEAD, hes the perfect solution. If you MUST use standard M3, your only option besides one of the converters is to rework the clothing in a modeller, i.e. reduce the cloth from a figure back to a simple object, regroup it to match M3s groups, and then create a new figure with new joints that match M3. stahlratte

wardrobe wizard works just fine converting the clothing. in my opinion its well worth the money and frankly the only way that newer figures get any clothing in my runtime. With all the figures I use for my work (all the daz cast and then some) its worth that 60$ and more just to be able to use some of my v2 and m2 clothing that I paid top dollar for back in the day. Kind of like a thrift store for poser with less mothballs :)
