The forum seems several times faster now than it was immediately after the changeover.

Oh my gosh, I don't think I like this. My Ebots use to point me directly to the post, now I have to scan everything. I don't get notified when there is a post either. Can I change my settings and where? Sharen

You mean the ebots doesn't go to the right thread now? As for GETTING them, remember to check the "email me when someone replies" it's not checked by default other than if YOU start the thread (an error IMO)

Where do I get an avatar? Where can I set my settings? When a new posts comes, do I get ebots to tell me a new post is here? Sharen I had some ebots from before this turned over and tried them and it does not bring me to the post.

Sharen, Also, if you want to be notified of new threads started here, you can go up to the top of the forum, right under the blue banner area, and click on "my options." It will take you to an area where you can specify how many threads you want to see, how many posts to view in a thread per page, define your avatar, and you can specify that you would like a message sent when a new thread is added, on a per forum basis. Personally, I didn't sign up for that. I can just imagine how many emails I would get per day from this forum!

How do I chose and avatar, what size etc, do I make it?

You can define your own avatar directly. Just create one of whatever you want, and you can upload it on the my options page. Max dimensions are 100px x 130px, and 15kb.

Okay, I just got done rearranging items. Now in my options I selected to see I think new posts by checking both items. Is that correct? Gotta go make my avatar.

Yeah Sharen, that's right, but you may not want to keep that option for too long. We all know how many threads are started every day here, and that could be a big flood in your inbox.

The size limit is 25kb according to the page, but other than that..

Well I always saw how many posts that were before and enjoyed reading all the posts, just in case I can help, I don't want to miss anyone. But I will see how this is effects my email and make changes if necessary. Thanks for your help for this panic state I was in. Sharen

Heh, yeah I guess panic could set in. There weren't any real instructions on the new format. I had been following the move to the new format, and I knew there were going to be avatars, so once the format changed, that was the first thing I looked for. Fortunately, finding that allowed me to stumble across the other options.

Uggh...I haven't looked at my inbox yet, but that is not good news... Sorry to pop into your box again...:ohmy:

They MIGHT have fixed that now btw. I still get ebots galore, but apparently right now only one per thread. I may be imagining things though - perhaps it's just because no one has answered :m_laugh:

I thought it was 25K for avatar.
