As a novice poser user I have stumbled on a way of converting Vistapro landscapes into acurately textured and bumped poser objects. Anybody interested?

Create Vistapro landscape at smallest landscape size setting (258 by 258). Enlarge one section once. Using larger landscapes results in massive, unmanageable files. Manipulate and change colours until satisfied. Export elevations as DFX file. Set Vistapro image size to a large square. Place camera and target to centre of landscape creating a map view. Raise or lower camera until landscape almost fills image box. Set light origin to Declination 90, Azimuth 0. Render at ultra quality and save as JPG. Tidy edges of JPG in your favourite graffix prog to produce square texture map and bump map. Import DFX elevation into MAX. Now is a good time to make a coffee and walk the dog, as this takes an age. Save in case anything goes wrong. Apply maps. Save new 3DS file. Import 3DS into poser and you have a landscape which is fully textured.

Bummer, is there any way to do this without Max?
