Its a shame that other forums have threads bumped to top when a person replys to the thread. Daz, RDNA, PP, cgtalk and others. I guess RO don't want its members to have the same attractions as other forums. Shame it has to be that way. :) I always thought it was a standard thing as I have had it for around 10 years on my small forume. I had it with vbb. php and now using vbb. So don't say it can not be done because a lot of us know it can and ots simple to apply. :(

Don't want to sound too negative - but this will be a paid package - I just wonder who would actually buy this package for hosting if the forums were to be a major part of their site? Just one look at what is available gratis out there and the functionality they have should be enough to convince people to shy away from Bondware. These forums certainly don't reflect the coding possibilities of 2006.....

My preferred solution would be to hide any "no new posts in this thread since you last looked" threads. It can't be that difficult; the software already knows this (else it couldn't change the colours of the stars), so - an option to hide them? Cheers, Diolma Oh and a GLOBAL option to set preference for default of "Notify me when someone replies". (My inbox is already over-crowded!)
Excellent job converting all the data over! However, I hate the feeling that I'm probably missing messages here than I wouldn't have using the old forums. If there's a way to do this that I just missed, I'd love to know. The smilies do need to be clickable! Having to add them as currently implemented is terribly user unfriendly. Where's my bold, italic, etc and the other basic features that I've come to expect from free systems like phpBB ? Regardless, I really want to like all the new features, layout, etc but it requires more effort to glean the same benefit I used to before so I can't. The sooner I can more easily separate the "new" threads from the "old" ones the happier I'll be. These dang stars are not terribly useful either. Good Luck! :thumbupboth:
electronicpakrat: You can get bold, italic, bold italic via basic HTML..... Try it yourself.. in the following, substitute angle brackets for the square ones.. bold, italic bold italic. Note: opening angle bracket = "less-than" sign (usually shift+,), and closing one = "greater-than" (shift+.) Cheers, Diolma

As it doesn't look as if threads are going to be bumped when new posts are added, would it be possible to have a "View posts since last visit" link which when clicked on would show any threads which have had new posts added to them since you last visited the forum? I love this feature on PHPBB and saves hours of scrolling and clicking.
