Subject: A moan about the new system

Anthony Appleyard ( ) posted Wed, 05 April 2006 at 5:36 PM ยท edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 12:32 AM

I have just received my first message reply notification under renderosity's new system. It displayed this:- Date: Wed, 5 Apr 2006 15:22:46 -0500 To: From: "ebot@renderosity.com" Add to Address Book Subject: Someone has replied to "I have updated my work helmet model" on Renderosity MarketPlace! This is a notification that Porthos has replied to the thread "I have updated my work helmet model" in the Poser forum. Click here to view this thread or here to visit the forum. You can edit your options here. Please go back to displaying the thread URL's in full, so I can cut-and-paste them, as I receive my email in UK BTInternet's own WWW displayer, but I prefer to copy-and-paste the reply thread address to Firefox and read the messages in Firefox.

But, that means that, if it is afternoon or evening here in England and thus the WWW is slow, I must wait twice while the page loads.

You lost me there...

I must wait while the thread loads in my BTInternet's browser; then I cut-and-paste and I must wait while the thread loads in my Firefox browser.

Ah, I (believe) I understand now. Obviously; No right click on the link and "copy shortcut" type of option with BTInternet? No way to view an html link in BTInternet? If you could, you could just click on the link, and have it come up automatically in Firefox/I.E. That's what I do.

This is the style of ebots I've been getting since the change. At least your ebot is coherent.
