Subject: Need Your Opinion - Which one?

I've been playing with some image compositing in Photoshop...the first example I posted to my gallery on Sunday. I'd like to do another one and would like your thoughts as to which one goes in my gallery -- if any. Here is the first.

Here is the orginal, in case you are interest. I liked the receeding hallway, but not much else. The lighting was tough to match, as was the vanishing point. The link takes you to my other gallery image.

One last variation. I kinda like the face in the cloud. 😄

I was going to say the 2nd one jumps out at me more! The clouds look like a serpent coming out of water to me! Hey have you tried inverting the hallway...sometimes I try that and then layer the original colors over it...kinda see what happens using the blend modes!

Hi Kortalouche. Okay first off, wonderful work here. You did an amazing job with Sunday's upload. You tricked us all! Secondly, you probably shouldn't listen to a word I say, because normally no one agrees with me,lol. That said,I like the compositional balance of dark areas on the first one,the surrealistic look of the second,(I think the lighting works really well, actually),and think the third is the most realistic looking. What are you looking for as a final outcome? My bent,so to speak,is towards surrealistic imagery,so I would probably keep at the second one.Something about the horizon line in it isn't quite working for me,but that one is my personal favorite. I hope this helps. :^) _______________________________________________ "Just when I started getting used to yesterday, today came along."

I much prefer the corridor going to the right, IMHO it is really bugging me that the ones above are going to the left, I really like the one in the gallery so that's the one I would choose.

Eggiwegs! I would like... to smash them!

Okay thanks, but since it is already in the gallery, that one isn't under consideration. I can flip any of the ones you see here, so which would it be? Thanks Marlene, what do you think about the darker version of the second one? It is my first "Flood" filter image and I added mist to the horizon so the change would not be so abrupt. Here is the cloud face one without the flood filter and at the original orientation.

Kort Kramer - Kramer Kreations

Margana ( ) posted Mon, 10 April 2006 at 4:52 PM

I still like it on the left, and I still like the second one, lol. This last one looks really good, too, but I like the unusual and surrealistic look the flood filter is giving it,in the others. It's odd I'm not preferring the mostly blue one, because I love blue, but the lighting in that cloud is really lovely, and the blue one loses that. And LOL I told ya not to listen to me!...Just kidding. If you want to know what I think,I'm always happy to share my opinion with you. They're all great,Kortalouche. :^) ________________________________________________ " Half of all people are below average."

The last one with the corridor on the right I cant see the flood effects so well as No2 and would add an horizon line in line with the 2nd pillar, and perhaps as a finishing touch add a swan or two on the lake, but nicely done Kort!!

I want it on the left side. Very surreal, and the #2 post is the one I like best. That would look really awesome as a large print.

Hey, that is pretty cool. It is one of those, "I wish I had thought to do that" images. ;o] I like it a lot, but would perhaps tone down the light on the ceiling and maybe even change the hue a bit so it doesn't look so mirrored. Just a thought. Hey, ya know what...if you don't mind me lifting you idea, I'd like to try my hand at it too.
Thanks for sharing that Joe!

I like your first image best, I think; although it is less dramatic than Atop The Lonely Metropolis.  Your original shot makes a good case for the abolition of parking lots.  I think we should start a petition today!  :woot:

I'm also admiring what Joe did here.Boy...I hope one day I can do such things with PS.And the thought of doing them in such a short amount of time, boggles my mind, lol.

Great work,guys.

PS I'm laughing at your new avie...it reminds me of a book Paige read years ago called Bunnicula.Lol.

Here is another fast edit...

The mirrorring is not really my profession.. But some images really do need it for fun and trippy fealings :)

So hope you guys will like this post now...

Added.. Two mirrorring settings, Some Manipulations, Colours Enhancements, Some Brushing in Corel Suite X3. And the border + Typography! "I am a COREL user" and the whole AdobePhotohop no matter what version lets say the CS2.. is one little single tool in Corel Suite (THIS IS A FACT)..

Hope you will enjoy..

Kort, I think you have found the basis for a whol series - I would be interested in seeing what you would create if you tried to make say 5 pictures, rather than finding a 'best one'.
