Subject: MY DEMO IS COMPLETE!

Hi Brycians!

any of you remember how I once plagued you with a game I was developing in which I used Poser and Bryce? Well the demo is ready an I'd love for y'all to feel me. The only trouble is I don't have a site to host it.

Anyone intrested? Lemme know.

Hi.  I don't have a website but I've got an empty file locker available.  I'll be glad to host it for you.

Just respond here or IM or email if you prefer.

Hey, if it'll fit in a file locker I'll host it indefinitely.  I only recently got this file locker.  Won't be needing it for a while (several weeks, maybe months).

Matrixmode,

Er... a little problem I tried sending it via mail and they say they can only allow a maximium upload of 10MB isn't there a way to upload it directly into your file locker?

What is a CRIF?

matrixmode ( ) posted Wed, 12 April 2006 at 5:50 AM

Wow, sorry dude. :(

Looks like this isn't gonna work out.

I don't know if there's any way for you to upload directly to my file locker without giving away my password.

Maybe AS can come up with some way to do this?

Does anyone know of a workaround for this?

Anybody?

Mahray ( ) posted Wed, 12 April 2006 at 6:52 AM

Drac might be able to host it, but you'd have to ask him.  Have you thought of things like rapidshare?

AgentSmith ( ) posted Wed, 12 April 2006 at 7:08 AM

No, he would have to be able to log in as you.

The only other way s if there was a program that would compress it and section it off in like 9mb sized files, then with 9 or so e-mails....

electroglyph ( ) posted Wed, 12 April 2006 at 7:34 AM

Winzip can do spanned zips. You can create ten 9mb parts and mail them seperately.

There was also something Drac was talking about, Megamail or Gmail or something. You supposedly can send 100mb attachments.

Rayraz ( ) posted Wed, 12 April 2006 at 7:43 AM

Hey, just one little detail... if u go over ur bandwith of ur locker, does ur locker go down? or do u get charged for the extra traffic? Small but not unsignificant detail :-P

Man! I am starting to quander over the CRIFs.....I want to know; what is a CRIF?

Cuddly Regurdgitating Ionized Felines? hehee. Instead of leaving hairballs in your carpet; they hack it out and it sticks back on them. hahaa.

Alright, sorry about that pundation.

Your only hope is to host it for a fee, I believe.

If your Poser and Bryce are legally yours. Why not charge a downlaod fee: I will pay you a dollar or two to find out what a CRIF is. Especially a Bryce game, what Brycer could resist a peek?

You can then have a CRIF homepage and list at a their Search engine like Yahoo or Google.

EDIT: YES! Gmail accounts! We use those to send our Simmars game DATa with. Up to 100mb chunks can be sent to other developers and coders.

All I do is texture the models, so am no expert, but I send my work to team leader by Her Gmail account. I know not the cost, because she gives them away to dedicated members.

deadman67 ( ) posted Wed, 12 April 2006 at 11:09 AM

you can use ICQ  if you have it to send it

wildman2 ( ) posted Wed, 12 April 2006 at 12:07 PM

Try and e-mail it to me I'll host it.

"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

You could try something like Box.net, very cheap file hosting (note: I haven't tried this myself).

draculaz ( ) posted Thu, 13 April 2006 at 10:39 AM

um.. if it helps, i could host it for you, Fo3, provided it's of quality. I have about 400 gigs of traffic a month available. So it really wouldn't matter :)

send me an email at mihnead@gmail.com with the details and some screenshots, and I'll see if I can set you up with an ftp account.

(I knew God wouldn't let me down).

Woah Drac Thank you.

I'll send you an email with details.
Quality? I don't know about that I think It would be better if you were the judge of that
who knows you just might fall in love with it.

Actually, it's a gift to all of you.I needed to discover a way to give extra-life to our renders...make them respond to the extra care we took in making them beautiful and spiritual. I don't consider myself the first to attempt this, I wouldn't dare. but I understand that this could help to revolutionize our concepts you know like " through the looking glass"

call this an experiment.

A lot of this 'game' is trial and error but some of the ideas worked through one of such is given in the attached image, where I attempted to use the QTVR feature in our beloved Bryce to create the illusion of a vast panoramic enviroment for my poser rendered character. You know it worked.
