  • wide-eyed * expression on my face:
I have deleted all the poser runtimes, DAZStudio content and Shade content from my computer intentionally.

It must be the spirit of this Easter season or something like that, but I am not religious that way.

Of course, I have backed up everything to 20X 4.5GB DVDroms.

And now I wonder how I shall pass my days and nights.... !!!

And  you did this why?

That's some back-up - I'm impressed.

And I can understand why you've done it. Sometimes you want to get rid of a load of stuff you've installed and have never used, sometimes you want to start over afresh, sometimes you just want or need a break.

Don't worry, though - you'll be back.

That's what I was told when I left online gaming (MMORPG) more than 3 years ago,  LOL

I've never even played so much as a game of solitaire online since,  LOL  I left and never looked back.  I found it much more satisfying being creative using PSP and Poser.

Maybe he'll take up online gaming to fill up his time?  hehe

I don't really know why I just suddenly decided to walk away from it - possibly needed a creative break.  Began to feel a little stale for ideas.

Something about being held hostage by my 3D content laying about my computer hard drives, made me feel a little bit annoyed as well.  Dunno.

Wonder if others here go through this phase ?

Yep, I certainly do.  I have been known to take a year off from time to time.  Just got back from one of those off-times.  I do this with other interests as well, such as music creation and photography.

i've been messing with Poser since v1...over the last year or so, I've slowly backed away from it more and more. Stopped going to several sites I used to frequent relating to Poser, and have now slowed down on my purchases of Poser related items, although not yet totally.

Perhaps you just need to get refreshed after awhile, do something else, and maybe or not come bacvk to it. I usually find myself getting way deep into what i do, be it gaming, where I used to buy a new game or 2 or 3 every payday, or Poser, where i buy Poser stuff all the time...and 2/3 of it never even gets unzipped.

Summer, I go hiking/camping/stream fishing, for days/weeks at a time in the high country. I'm lucky that I have some of the best stream fishing in the world close by.

Breaks are needed from time to time in anything. Go out and see/do something in the real world.
