Here's my March contest entry. Thanks to everyone involved for the contest area. What a great way to push one's skills and imagination into new areas. Now that I've played with rain some, I must admit that I probably won't choose to do a lot of rainy scenes... The attached file is the thumbnail... larger image in the contest area.Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=44419&Start=1&Sectionid=7&WhatsNew=Yes

I used Poser4 and Photoshop5. My poor socket 7 almost had a melt down rendering this image!! My thanks to all the people for the freestuff! Enjoy!{I really like this challenge arena and plan to participate.} Cool! {Can I have some specifics?} CHeck the FAQs. Essentially anyone can issue a challenge of either a general or specific nature at any time. There is also a monthly challenge that is always general. With a general challenge, anyone can participate. With a specific challenge, you either target one person (i.e. the infamous Triangle Challenges), or a group of people or even a Team (as per the Team Challenges of, February, IIRC). Check the Archives for examples of these. { How long do we have to submit a picture? } Depends on the challenge. Some are very open ended (whenever it's finished), some are specific (by next Friday!) and the monthly ones are due on or before midnight on the last day of the month. {Who judges it?} Depends on the challenge - either the person issuing it or anyone visiting this forum. {What does the winner get?} Again depends on the challenge. For the monthly ones, the winner gets the right to issue the NEXT month's challenge, for example. Some challenges also net award graphics, and some have prizes, but most of the latter are done in the Contests forum not here.

Hi, I guess I got this in just in time. Rendered in Vue d'Esprit 3.1, and touched up slihtly in Painter 6.1 I also posted it in the Challenge Arena gallery, which I guess I was supposed to do? BTW, Heart'Song, your picture blows me away, and will definitely get *MY* vote! :) Cheers, MikeThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. This month's challenge has 2 ingredients. First, the focus for the image should be a reflection. Thought it should be the main focus, it doesn't have to be the whole image, just a part of it. Second, rain should be involved in the image. Ideas: 1. The reflection of a tree in a rain-swept pond. 2. A warrior's face in his shield on a rainy battlefield. 3. A sodden gutter reflected in a hubcap after a hard rain. Luck, TRLee Remember, the contest now runs from the 15th to the 15th, so there's plenty of time.
