I am getting the hang of using poser4 and bryce4, but, as the newbies always say, I can't get my poser4 characters textures to come over to bryce4 I have been working on a figure for 2 days and have her down!!! However I can't get the detail that poser4 renders into bryce4. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well when you export there should be a mtl file .. this has the materials. You have to take the textures, mtl file and the obj and put them all in one folder. They will then umport fine.

okay you're going to want to turn the ambience down so she's darker and maybe the diffusion a little bit too but keep the specularity fairly high to you keep that oily skin look.

Bryce seems to do odd things reading a mtl file. It sets the diffusion channel to the texture, and a strength of maybe 80; ambience is black with a strength of 100 and specularity is 100 whether you want an oily look or not. I've never found a way of fixing this automatically, so I have to adjust it by hand. Set diffusion and ambience to the texture and juggle around to get sensible settings depending on your image.

The way of getting rid of the oily look is to set the highlight color to Black, and or the specularity color to black.

This image is poser and imported into bryce using a OBJ export as you can see everything came over just fine.
